"To build a strong base of conservative Black entrepreneurs, elected officials and constituents that provide Black conservatives a viable way to express and implement their conservative values politically."

So is it conservative or black? I guess race does matter.

Maybe race matters to the folks within the community. It's got to be tough to be a black conservative if only because no matter where he/she goes, it's assumed he/s liberal until and unless otherwise identified, and the same doesn't hold true for white folks or Asians, for that matter.

So a black person anywhere is, in a way, holding up a sign that says, "There's a 90 percent chance I'm a screaming liberal," just the same way as a hippy-dippy vegan college kid does. Sad, but true?

It's got to be quadruple-true if you're a black conservative living in a black neighborhood. I can imagine there being a lot of closet conservatives and Republicans there. So in order to change it, I suppose they might need to make it about race in that context, and that's fine with me. Wish I could help, but don't know how other than with political support.

Self-segregation happens.

Wind, some day this will be behind us. I'd be interested in your take.
