This Sheriff is using this unspeakable tragedy to further his own political agenda. This is clearly a misuse of his office. He has already admitted, on national media, that he has not a scintilla of evidence to back up his shameful, baseless charges that the Conservative movement had something to do with this horrible tragedy.
He is deliberately misleading the people of Pima County and general public as to the cause and nature of yesterdays attack and is, by his own words, furthering the climate of hatred, vitriol and violence by this obscene falsehood.
He also failed to protect over a dozen citizens of the SDtate of Arizona from attack by a vicious, crazed gunman. His incompetence is only exceeded by his deliberitate and wanton derelictin of duty and attempt to politicize this tragedy..
He is unworthy of his office.

He’s another Chief Moose. And Chief Moose was another Bull Connor. All friggin divisive and human-hating.
Moose blamed a white driver in a white van when it was black men driving a blue sedan.
It was purely racist and in his ignorance he allowed the killers to continue on with their spree.
>> Moose blamed a white driver in a white van <<
Stupid? Yes.
Incompetent? Definitely.
Careless? Absolutely.
PC? No doubt about it.
But I’ve gotta say that Moose’s comments never came across to me as overtly “racist” — not at all in the way that Sheriff Dope-nik was blatantly political, such that all the world could see. IMO it’s apples vs. oranges.
(Moreover, I’d find it hard to think Chief Moose was a black nationalist or something of that ilk, since he had a white wife.)
Look at the pics on this page and tell us who is vitriolic:
JLS, you're dead on. 25% of votes cast in his last election.
Also once the petition is filed with the State, there are 120 days to secure sufficient signatures.
The replacement election is held simultaneously with the recall in AZ - similar to California.
I think that web site is sponsored by the Pima County GOP. They seem to shy away from a recall and are more focused on defeating him in 2012.
A successful recall could put him out of office in 7 or 8 months.
