Palin aide: 'Never intended gun sights' (Palin ready to fight back against Liberal Rag Bags)
Politico ^ | 1/9/2011 | ben smith

An aide to Sarah Palin said images of cross-hairs were never meant to evoke violence, in the Palin camp's first extended comment on yesterday's attack.

" We have nothing whatsoever to do with this," Palin aide. Rebecca Mansour told the talk radio host Tammy Bruce in an interview. "We never ever, ever intended it to be gun sights. It was simply cross-hairs like you'd see on maps," she said, suggesting that it is a "surveyor's symbol."

There is "nothing irresponsible about our graphic," she said.

She called attempts to link Palin to the violence "obscene" and "appalling," and said she was "disgusted" with the politicization.

"We can't ban the words 'targeted swing districts' from the English language," she said. "We did nothing wrong here."

I don’t care if it showed atom bombs, it had nothing to do with this shooting for about a 1,000 obvious reasons.

The leftists and there are zillions of them, who IMMEDIATELY blamed a shooting on Glenn Beck, Fox News, and Sarah Palin, are out and out scum and would plunge this country into more killing with THEIR irresponsibility, if they could.

When they identify persons who had NOTHING to do with a shooting of a child in Arizona, and tell the world those individuals are responsible, is THAT not the greatest possible incitement to violence???

I read this in the articles comments section and thought it was worth posting here for future reference.

“I think it’s tempting not to negotiate with hostage takers, unless the hostage gets harmed. In this case the hostage is the American people and I was not willing to see them get harmed,” — Obama on keeping taxes from increasing, December 6, 2010

“A Republican majority in Congress would mean “hand-to-hand combat” on Capitol Hill for the next two years, threatening policies Democrats have enacted to stabilize the economy,” — Obama, October 6, 2010

“If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun,”— Obama in July 2008

“Here’s the problem: It’s almost like they’ve got — they’ve got a bomb strapped to them and they’ve got their hand on the trigger. You don’t want them to blow up. But you’ve got to kind of talk them, ease that finger off the trigger.” —Obama on banks, March 2009

“I want you to argue with them and get in their face!”— Barack Obama, September 2008

“We’re gonna punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us.”— Obama to Latinos, October 2010

“I don’t want to quell anger. I think people are right to be angry! I’m angry!” Obama on ACORN Mobs, March 2010 “We talk to these folks… so I know whose ass to kick.“ — Obama on the private sector, June 2010

I have read some of the excerpts from the guy’s myspace page. I don’t think he knows what “side” he is on, or even if he had any political affiliation. The guy has mental issues. There is nothing about him that makes sense.

The left killed more people in the twentieth century than were killed in the wars in all prior history. The left constantly agitates for revolution presently. That means a violent overthrow of the government. A former Czar of the Obama administration agitates for people to rise up in revolution. The left constantly spoke of killing President Bush. They even made a movie about it. They made jokes and laughed about killing congressman Henry Hyde on TV Shows. The left supports regimes around the world that murder at will. And they are mute when muzzies stone innocent people to death or otherwise murder or maim them. I am sick of their self righteous hypocrisy. Using the attempted murder of a Congresswoman and the murder and attempted murder of others to further their political agenda is beyond disgusting. They can take their propaganda and stuff it.

There’s already a growing push-back against the left, for their blatant hysteria and lies.

This may frankly be a defining moment for Governor Palin.

Not the way the intellectually useless Gerald Rivers claimed however. At this moment in time, we will see whether Palin has what it takes.

I believe, sincerely, that she does. Let’s see how she handles this.

The media left in this nation is every bit, the enemy of American freedoms and our way of life - any foreign adversary is. She’ll show us, soon, whether to entrust the protection of our nation to her.

If she can deal with the lamestream media at this moment, she can deal with anything.

Waiting for our next President, to show her stuff...

I agree in part also. But then the left will know that they can drive honest people out of the fray. It’s a double edged sword.

Sarah HAS to use this quote: “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun,”— Obama in July 2008

..............................................

Come one Sarah, counting on you, you haven't much to lose with these jackals. CALL HIM OUT!!! It's much more damning for him to say this than ambiguous “targets” on a political campaign map. Do a Ross Perot style info-mercial if you have to, the microphone is waiting.

PS, I'm glad you are safe in Alaska, I don't trust these LSM bastards.

“As of yesterday, Palin is the face of politically motivated gun violence. My prediction.”

You are probably right, but my prediction is that they will wind up with egg on their face. Palin is not a wall flower, and she's not your typical self-flagellating Republican. She will fight back, and she will in the end be proved correct. Contrary to the schlock the media has been pushing, Sarah Palin is significantly brighter than those on the left who are targeting her. She thinks on her feet. They are just uttering the ideological lines and banal diatribes they've collectively agreed upon.

THEY are inciting violence, they are attempting a Kristelnight and Reichstag fire, that is obvious.

Didn’t the woman shot just vote against Nancy Pelosi as speaker? Wasn’t she a foe of illegal immigration? Why then did we not blame Mexicans, liberals, Nancy Pelosi, et al?

Maybe because we have a shred of decency and responsibility, which they lack?

It’s mind boggling that within hours of a violent crime, before ANY investigation was possible, these people are all over the place blaming Sarah Palin and Fox News for murders???

Ask yourself, IF they believe Sarah, Glenn, Fox, are murderers of children, what does that entitle them to do to us?

There were numerous Internet posts saying Free Republic was down because Laugner was a Freeper who had thanked Glenn Beck and Fox News!

Couldn't agree more, excellent comment. At some point in the very near future she has to step up on this and show a calm demeanour but fight back in a big way. She HAS to use that Obama gun/knife quote. What has she to lose?

Anyone trying to connect Palin to the shooter has an agenda. They are shameless, dishonest and very dangerous.

Ridicule would be the best attack, but “professionalism” will win out. The propagandists will score huge points with the ordinary public because “professionalism's” message will be buried and ineffective. The ridicule would put the propagandists on the defensive and MAKE the idiots either prove themselves or shut them up.

Possibly a dumb question but has anyone seen these symbols on maps before?

Yes. When I used to plot borehole locations and other sample spots that was the most common symbol to use.

Funny how the Left wants to ignore that.
