You are probably right, but my prediction is that they will wind up with egg on their face. Palin is not a wall flower, and she's not your typical self-flagellating Republican. She will fight back, and she will in the end be proved correct. Contrary to the schlock the media has been pushing, Sarah Palin is significantly brighter than those on the left who are targeting her. She thinks on her feet. They are just uttering the ideological lines and banal diatribes they've collectively agreed upon.
K. Oberman is the only one to apologize for his rhetoric, to my knowledge so far. The NYT, WP, and Krugman etc have not. Does she in fact have a slander lawsuit given what has been said about her? My guess is her and her team maybe on the phone with attorney's as we speak. As to her being a public figure and as such almost anything can be said, but at this point they are blaming her for this. Does even Freedom of the Press have boundaries of slander? I.E. you can't yell fire in a a crowded theater, but they are metaphorically standing up yelling she has the matches!
If she has a suit, imagine if she can bring them to their knees to the point of even maybe even owning one of these "outlets"...
