TUSCON, Ariz ( KTLA) -- Jared Lee Loughner, the alleged Tucson gunman, was described Saturday as a politically radical loner. Now an internet trail emerged in which he apparently railed against the US government and told friends: "Please don't be mad at me".
There are unconfirmed reports that 22 year old Jared Lee Loughner once met with Rep. Giffords in 2007. A former high school friend said that he had often talked about meeting and talking with the congresswoman.
Arizona court records show Loughner has twice been charged with previous offenses. The first, in October 2007, related to the possession of drug paraphernalia. It was unclear what the second, a year later, related to. Both charges were dismissed after Loughner completed a "diversion program".
People who knew him described him as philosophical, a person who read a lot of books. On his YouTube page, Loughner listed among his favorite books "The Communist Manifesto," "Siddhartha," "The Old Man And The Sea," "Gulliver's Travels," "Mein Kampf," "The Republic" and "Meno."
One former high school friend Tweeted about knowing the accused gunman: "He was a pot head and into rock, like Hendrix, The Doors, Anti-Flag," she wrote. "I haven't seen him in person since 2007 in a sign language class. As I knew him he was left wing, quite liberal and oddly obsessed with the 2012 prophecy. He had a lot of friends until he got alcohol poisoning in 2006 and dropped out of school. Mainly a loner, very philosophical."
Someone had a facebook page up showed that he worked for child services and was gay.
At least one of his online profiles (youtube?) says he works for Child Protective Services.
He was certifiable. Why was he still walking the streets?
I was watching Fox News for awhile and when Shep Smith ran out of speculations he'd put up one of his one feather indians (Doug McGruder or something like that). Good old Doug dragged out the Tea Party reference, then he stated that the shooter must have used "fully automatic" weapons because of the great amount of damage. He babbled on for several minutes, displaying a total and profound lack of knowledge regarding firearms, ammunition and terminal ballistics. They also featured comments from one of their staff Md's who said that the Congresswoman was "lucky" because she was shot with one of those slower moving bullets which kept her head from exploding like happened to JFK (shot with a much more deadly, faster moving, rifle bullet). I guess in his world a .22 LR is deadlier then a .45 ACP, hmmmmm.
Sometimes it's just better to turn the babble box off until the adults marshal the facts and organize a pressor. Watching/listening to the MSM during the first few hours is a waste of time and an insult to ones intelligence.

Very low class comment. Nobody deserves this. She was a well respected woman. Please read her bio before you indict her with callus political comments. Lets pray she recovers along with the other injured victims.
The fact that Kennedy’s assassin was an unstable, poorly educated radical Communist who had spent time in Russia and thought he had a grudge against the US was barely reported even at the time. I lived through this, and as soon as the press realized that Oswald’s connections were entirely left-wing (in fact, extreme left), analyses of his motives disappeared from view...and then he was dead.
I think this current assassin, Loughner, was probably unstable at best and psychotic at worst. The latter may have been the result of some adult-onset form of schizophrenia, or it may possibly have been caused by excessive dope smoking. In high school in the 60s, I knew stoners who smoked so much that they were afraid to go into their lockers because “they” were watching them. I was never sure who “they” were, but then again, I didn’t dare ask.

The guy is quoting a FAKE facebook page that sprouted up after the shooter’s name was released. This writer, Timothy, is quite the horse’s ARSE.

If you pinned me down asked me whom I blame? Would say Pelosi and Obama for dividing the country as they have. They are making it all about health-care, this terrorist act of violence today. The media on both sides are just playing their normal role as opinion whores to Breaking News pouring salt on new wounds.
The Governor of Arizona, however, expressed her sincere sympathy to those caught in the cross hairs of this terrorist act and her friend Gabrielle. She has not played politics like angry Chellie Pingree [D] from Maine (as the state went 100% Republican control) who has insinuated that "their lives have been in danger"...they just can't make up their mind if it is health-care or if they should pin it on prejudice under the illegal immigration issue.
The little terrorist seems to appear betrayed that Obama has promised a left wing socialist agenda and then went rogue on him, Pelosi, Pingree, Frank, the Lot-with the continuation of the "Bush tax cuts" and appeared then to play kissy kissy with the Right. The Left was in an uproar, were they not? the Left wing media MSNBC was in an uproar saying Obama would not be seen as fit to run another term, he would be removed, etc...I rest my case.

If she was quoting then there should be quotation marks. Actually she was paraphrasing up to the point where she used the three periods and the added her opinion about the, and I quote “RAT rep”. No lefty media would use the term “rat rep” Rat is a term used by conservatives to express justifiable disgust with democrats. In this case however it was not “justifiable”
