Have you noticed how much better informed the major news media have become about the missing birth certificate since Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie entered the picture?
It wasn't that long ago that most of the TV talking heads and alleged news reporters were telling the American people that Barack Obama had released his birth certificate. They seemed incapable of comprehending the difference between the digital short-form certification of live birth offered up by the Obama campaign in 2008 and a standard, long-form birth certificate we're all familiar with.
How many of you recall Bill O'Reilly and Chris Matthews waiving copies of the certification of live birth in front of the camera, telling the American people they had the actual birth certificate?

How many times have you heard them characterize "birthers" as a fringe group of crackpots and conspiracy nuts?
Now, all of a sudden, as polls continue to show Americans increasingly skeptical about Obama's birth narrative despite the media's stonewalling and obfuscating, along comes the new socialist governor of Hawaii who admits the possibility that the release of some actual evidence might indeed quell what is turning into widespread public distrust

The truth is Obama should never have been able to assume office without establishing his constitutional eligibility. The system failed the American people and the rule of law. The media "watchdogs" weren't just AWOL. They were attacking

Anybody hear Boortz today? He admitted that he didn’t know the difference between a COLB and a long form birth certificate. He was not supporting the “birthers” by any means but stated that B.O. was not brought up as an American since he attended school in Indonesia. That schooling left a big gap in his understanding of American history, culture, society, and values. He later allowed a caller to speak regarding the birth certificate issue. He said she had piqued his interest . . .

That Hillary’s going to run in 2012 is my own speculation. I don’t have any news sources or inside info on it.
I figure she was burned pretty good by the Obama machine and now sees a chance to ‘set things right’. I believe many in the MSM always did want her to be President and some deceided it’s best to choose sides now.
I’m not going into all the details here, because it’s been discussed in great length on other threads, but Stanley Ann Dunham wasn’t old enough to confer citizenship on the child, according to laws in effect in 1961.

For persons born between December 24, 1952 and November 14, 1986, a person is a U.S. citizen if all of the following are true:
1. One of the person’s parents was a U.S. citizen when the person in question was born
2. The citizen parent lived at least ten years in the United States before the child’s birth;
3. A minimum of 5 of these 10 years in the United States were after the citizen parent’s 14th birthday.
If it could be proven that Obama was not born in the United States, point three above would disqualify him because his mother had not lived 5 years in the US after the age of 14 before his birth, since Stanley Ann Dunham was 18 years old when Barack was born. She would have had to be 19.

Some people may riot and throw fits, but most would be so grateful that he’s gone. I really hope he doesn’t get away with this. Boehner wimped out on it already. He should have just asked Williams why he doesn’t show it and volunteered to show his.

I agree! Too many Rs and too many “conservative” talking heads have let themselves get backed into a corner on this issue. The MSM always implies that anyone who questions any part of Obambi’s narrative is a nut case “birther” and then they ask “You don’t agree with THEM, do you?”
Boehner should have been better prepared for the question and simply deflected it with a laugh and a smile - “I’m sure that the President has nothing to hide and I look forward to Governor Abercrombie obtaining Mr. Obama’s permission to release ALL of the documentation from the Hawaii Department of Health so that this matter can be put to rest. Next question!”
