I recently found this article that is very informative and goes into great depth about Our Nation’s largest welfare program (the SSI Program) and the damage it is doing to families. The program now provides checks to 7.9 Million Americans and our politicians refuse to reform/amend/tweak the program in anyway and have chosen to let it spiral out of control. The article by Mrs. Wen points out the harm that can be done to children by their parents who seek to obtain benefit checks.

ADD ADHD IMO is another scam invented by liberals to aid in wealth distribution. Sister Mary Margeret and her ruler smacking a kids hands a few times would end their attention deficit instead of medication addicting them and mom and having parents avoid their responsibilities of discipline..flame suit on......

Spaying and neutering all welfare recipients would be a far more effective way to stop the problem of illegitimacy and the problems that follow it.

It truly IS going to come down to a choice between the Red Pill or the Blue Pill for all of us in the end...

God Save Us!

Startling that it’s bigger than UI or other welfare programs, but the bogus pill pushing aspect of it must be really wicked, and boys are the main target of this kind of medical abuse. Libbies don’t want boys to be boys, but want to stuff them with tranquilizers and such till they act like girls.

The 900 pound gorilla in the room is the fedgov. They manipulate and destroy using our money under the color of law.

It’s got to stop. We need to re-declare liberty and tame the beast.

Wow. I had NO IDEA this was going on. I consider myself pretty informed....I would bet most people are also unaware of this!

So the parents not only get welfare, they get SSI if their kids are on these drugs? Or do they just get whatever pays the most?

Good article.

This is a perfect example of something known as “Moral Hazard”: undue risk-taking by those who normally would not take such risks, but do so because incentives and economic rewards are offered.

Also, if a mother qualifies, a monthly check is given to each of her children as well.

Four years ago I moved to a small southern town. It’s not just kids who get SSI; I’ve met dozens of perfectly healthy adults who get it. They pay special lawyers to get them approved. Some of them sit around getting fat and watching the tube, but others make a nice living under the table. There is no attempt whatsoever to police the rolls; once you’re on, you’re on for life.

I’ve known people who faked disabilities to get on SSI. They’re set for life, and they have more money and “stuff” than most working people I know. Not to mention all the free time they have since they don’t have to work. It’s quite the scam.

The Chinese immigrants love to do this but others do it too. They bring in their elderly parents here legally and get them on SSI. So in essence the old duffers come here to retire on SS without having ever paid a dime into it. Not to mention getting on Medicare and subsidized housing without ever having paid taxes

Plus these SSI payments to elderly immigrants can be higher than the SS some Americans qualify for such as a housewife who didn’t work much outside the house.

I work with these folks on a weekly basis.

First they get on Medicaid so the pills cost next to nothing or are free.

Once on Medicaid, that eases the barrier to getting Food Stamps.

Finally, usually with the help of a lawyer, they apply for SSI.

And if they are real lucky, they can score some Section 8 housing and pay greatly reduced rent.

Now they’re set. Got the meds, got the food, got the government check, got the place to stay.

As long as the “disabled” person is in their household, the SSI check comes every month. This is why 30+ year olds are still living with their mother. Gotta get that check!

They visit food banks and get free food over and above the Food Stamps. Sometimes they stock up on expensive groceries, pay for it with Food Stamps, then sell the high priced goods for pennies on the dollar to their friends and family.

They visit clothing banks for free clothing.

They can get a free cell phone from the government.

There are plenty of agencies around that will help with utility bills.

There are thousands and thousands of people like this.

And we’re paying for all of it.

I had cancer in 2008 (now in remission) but it wiped out my kidneys, and became eligible for Medicare.

The dialysis place urged me to apply (I later realized it was because they’d get paid more for the dialysis). Anyway, I let Part B lapse after three months because I didn’t see any benefit to me. I had private insurance and it paid for everything except some chemotherapy copays. I’m still not using Part B (or A for that matter). I’m on COBRA right now.

I went to the Social Security office in November to find out if I could get back on Part B because I changed jobs and there would have been a coverage gap - and COBRA is $550 a month.

It turns out I don’t qualify in my current state, i.e., working, because of the 2008 mixup.

BUT, if I lose my job for any reason, I not only qualify for Part B immediately (it would cost me about $140 a month and it covers my dialysis which is about $1000 per treatment - and I go three times per week) but also SSI! However it doesn’t pay for medications and one pill I take is $350 for 30 pills - and the one they really want me on is $700.

So... I’ll stay working as long as I can and pay for my private health insurance.

Course there is a debate about whether my insurance will at the 30 month mark say that Medicare has to be the primary insurer - if it does, I have to quit my job and let all of you pay for my dialysis. I can’t afford $12,000 a month.

The system is FUBAR.

It’s not just the parents that receive money for having “disabled” kids. The schools also get Federal money for each “disabled” student. This gives them an incentive to label children to get the money and (also notice how it’s mostly boys) cripple the future male population. These Marxist are very clever.

Also goes a long way toward explaining why it seems so many kids are 'autistic' these days, and the numbers mentioned in public service announcements about the condition. There is true autism, and kids with that condition should be treated, but the expansion of that diagnosis is a scam of major proportions. Too many kids are diagnosed with autism as though it were just like some learning disability, and usually so that schools can swell the numbers of kids in 'Special Education' classes, in order to obtain Federal Dept.of Educ. money for those students.

Sadly, some kids who are put in those 'programs' tend to think of themselves as 'retarded' or 'stupid', and tend to act in that manner, with the choices they make in life, not to mention dealing with the effects of the meds they're required to take.
