Every time I hear about a shaker in the midwest, I picture thousands of old ladies picking up the knick knacks that adorn their chair rails, etc.
Be safe!
It was Gary, Indiana imploding.
GREENTOWN, Ind. - Many Tri-State residents woke up to shaking Thursday morning after an earthquake in Indiana was felt around the region.
The U.S. Geological Survey says the epicenter of a 4.2 magnitude earthquake rumbled in Greentown, Ind. at 7:55 a.m.
Residents from multiple parts of the Tri-State reported feeling the earthquake, some as far south as Rabbit Hash, Ky.
Greentown is approximately 123 miles northwest of Cincinnati and 50 miles north of Indianapolis.

EARTHQUAKES IN THE STABLE CONTINENTAL REGION
It’s just the earths way of telling us get the progressives off my back.
Stayed up late last night...planned to sleep in late this morning. Perfect morning for it too-rainy and gloomy. But it was not to be-thanks a lot earthquake! :)
So with all that rain and snow in California, how much longer is it going to be until the next earthquake there?
As you may (or may not) know, we taxpayers had to ante up $700 mil for that chubby Obama supporter Irsay's new palatial stadium.
Irsay gets all the revenue from the Stadium and the city absorbs all the operating costs, so I don't know if we're better off with or without a playoff game.
I finally googled and found out it was a 3.8 magnitude emanating from the Kokomo, Indiana area which is around 110 miles away from me.
Police had reports of shaking and falling china from Western Springs, Batavia, Villa Park, Naperville, Elgin and Downers Grove, among other suburbs.
This general area is not in the New Madrid fault environs as previously thought, but it holds a virtually unknown fault, so unknown its name eludes me. It's only 13 miles long and is in a site that historically sees little to no earthquake action.
Most of my neighbors slept through the tremors. I was half-awake freeping and having my cup of coffee....but let me tell you, I became wide-awake in three seconds after my computer and heavy chair began vibrating up and down.
The coffee remained intact with not a drop spilled, thank goodness!
