Senate Passes Bill to Lift Military Gay Ban

The Senate Saturday repealed the military's ban on gays serving openly in the military, by overturning the policy known as "Don't Ask, Don't Tell."

Senators voted 63-33 to advance the bill to the floor, passing a 60-vote procedural hurdle. Final passage Saturday afternoon was 65-31.

Straight Marines cannot have get it on with other straight Marines. Gay Marines will not be able to hit on other Marines. Meanwhile, they will be forced out of the closet where they will find little acceptance. And infantry units, that actually do the fighting, will take care of business. The services that will really be affected are the Navy and the Air Force.

I agree that gays should be banned from military service. Sodomites create distrust and demoralization. They are generally very sad and confused people. Their lifestyle is clearly psychologically and spiritually perverted and sick, not to mention forbidden in God's Word for good reason. This is a disease-spreading lifestyle that historically signals the death knell of a society.

We need troops (and an America) that have tough, courageous, and right-thinking men just like we need an America with real femininity in its women (not the butch kind).

General statement about gays here: this is not to confuse the condemnation and forbidding of their lifestyle openly in society with the people themselves who Jesus died for. I know queers and some of them are nice people. I'm not here to condemn anybody. But their perverted and sick lifestyle should not be tolerated (openly at least) in or out of the military. I'm not for sex police or whatever. It's a society thing - society should simply not tolerate open "gay" (really very sad) lifestyles.

I don’t know if anyone has mentioned this, but now that DADT has been repealed, all the colleges and universities that have prevented military recruiters from visiting the campuses and/or prevented the formation of NROTC and/or ROTC units from being established should on Monday change their policies. Marine Commandant General James Amos has stated several times that openly practicing homosexualism will kill Marines.

Did you read that ? Homosexualists will get Marines killed. The top guy in the Marine Corps says so. He has been in the trenches. He knows. I am not going to second guess him.

Homosexualists have and continue to show nothing but seething hatred and contempt for America. The homosexualist community has and continues to knowingly and willingly spread deadly STDs throughout their own community by means of their horrific practices and now they drool over the prospect of fresh recruits in America's military.

As I said earlier, any senator that voted in support of DADT has knowingly and quite purposefully gone about destroying and weakening America's military and is willfully contributing to the murder of Marines.

The full names and State of any senator that votes passage of this legislation should be made public and at the earliest possible legal opportunity, thrown out of office and never allowed to lobby or serve in any public venue.

And to the ones who will now have to sit through “sensitivity” training and the endless E.O. classes I don't want to walk into the commissary with my three year old son and watch a couple of “men” holding hands and playing house. Keep sex in the bedroom and out of the uniform. That's what “Don't ask Dont tell” was supposed to be about. Pass all the laws that they want. This life style will never be “acceptable” to the vast number of American’s. Our military was the last sane place in America. But we seemed to have lost the war with this one.

Yup, the problem is that now that it’s codified as fine and in the open, the force of law will say that you cannot discriminate. This will be a disaster, I predict. And we will all pay for it. Exactly. It will also create another class of “I'll get promoted even though I don't deserve it because of who I have sex with.” Many classes like this in the army..I know because I served in a support unit with a female 1st Sergeant who couldn't run for ^%$! or qualify a weapon if you gave her unlimited ammo. She also had a thing for the ladies. And hated women like me who despised things like her. Guess she'll be making her not entirely unexpected exit from the closet now. Wonder what will fuel her recommendations for schools/promotions?

It just doesn’t make sense to me since you might not want to be treated as they would want to treat you. Personally I prefer to treat people as I want to be treated not as they would want to treat me. It’s a trust issue.

By "We" I assume you meant the American electorate in general because some sectors of that electrorate understood his meaning and voted accordingly. Unfortunately, there just weren't enough of us to do the job in 2008. By the time 2012 rolls around it may be too late.

Have no fear. Don ‘t surrender yet. These idiots are also mortal and are here temporarily. My family has lived under Communism, fascism, nazism and peronism. They have their day in the sun. But, at the end of the day there the few of us who understand and fight the battles. My grandfather was taken into the forest and shot, my father fought for 7 years in WW II ending with the last 3 years in the US army. I was born in Argentina and we had to come here as a result of my fathers political obstinacy. He started out supporting the communists because they opposed fascism and soon realized they were no better. He did live long enough to see his native Slovenia become independent. No victory is permanent on either side. It is a continuing battle, resistance is not futile. Individualists throughout the world will always continue the struggle. There will always be people like Djilas, Sakharov, Solzenitzin. Just as before them there was Jefferson and Madison. Our mission is to educate and inspire the next generation. The collectivists only last so long and return because people either forget the lessons of history or they aren’t taught those lessons in the first place.
