Senator Scott Brown said yesterday that he will support renewed efforts to repeal the militarys dont ask, dont tell policy, helping supporters secure the 60 Senate votes they would need to block a filibuster and pass a bill to allow gays to serve openly.
Senate Democrats said last night that they would bring the repeal up for a vote as early as tomorrow and, with the potentially pivotal pledge from the Massachusetts Republican, the prospects for passage are stronger. If and when a stand-alone repeal bill comes up for a vote, he will support it, said Gail Gitcho, Browns spokeswoman.
Repeal of the 17-year-old policy, seen as highly unlikely as recently as last week, has political momentum. President Obama, who infuriated many liberals by cutting a tax deal with Republicans, renewed his push for an overturn of the policy and picked up the support of several key GOP senators.
Were over 60 votes; it would be just wrong to let the opponents of the repeal of dont ask, dont tell to run out the clock so that it cant happen, said Senator Joseph Lieberman, a Connecticut independent who has been leading the charge for repeal. To me this is not only good for the military but its a civil rights measure. And the days should be over when we let civil rights measures be filibustered so they cant be adopted.

Massachusetts people, bombard his office with calls. This will destroy our Military. He has obviously been getting calls from his Leftist constituency. He needs to hear from US! (although I don’t believe they care much about people who can’t vote for them, i.e. people from other states)
Imagine an alien looking at the images—if he is a scientist he would naturally conclude from the physical appearances of the couple that they had obviously evolved to copulate with each because they “fit” perfectly.
Now imagine the alien wants to learn more and just happens to land in Frisco...
Let's just hope he has a big sense of humor and can take such a pathetic practical joke or we are doomed.
Scott O. Brown (SOB) sure fooled some of us.
It was only a year ago FReepers were singing his praises.............
RINO Reichert strikes again.

The only reason they want it is so that it will weaken the military with reprobates, dope heats, losers, and morons. Imagine the military like your average high school class.
Dreier (CA) = shocker! /s
Paul (TX) = always a sell-out! *always*
I know what a dope head but what is a dope heat. Is it somrthing similar to a Miami heat?
He didn’t fool me, or anybody who understands politics.
He is doing what he needs to do as a senator from Massachusetts.
I’m satisfied with his clear opposition to the Dream Act, which is far more harmful than repealing DADT.
Scott Brown is pretty good compared to what Mass normally sends us. Let's focus our energy against flaming libs in conservative states. Lindsey Graham comes to mind. John McCain.
Graham and McCain do need to go and folks should take a look at Brown's voting record at http://www.votesmart.org/voting_category.php?can_id=18919

It's funny, but as for McCain and Graham, on the votes that matter, they get scores of 96 and 88 respectively. There are MANY other Republicans that are MUCH worse...
* Prior to the recent election!
He fooled only the willing. I couldn’t believe conservatives from all over donating to him. They were the dupes that Stalin joked about.
You’re on to something. Draft all professing homosexuals; put them all in their own division and put them on the front lines. Problem solved.
If your the enemy just don’t get captured by them.
