You have a funny definition of loser. You can support Lakin all you want, but it does not matter. He is going to prison and he has screwed his life. And for what??? So a bunch of message board heroes can say ‘Go Lakin!’. This was a bad move on his part and he has come to that realization a little too late in the ballgame.

Support or lack there of is an absolute moot point in this case. Lakin ended up being the loser big time.

I suppose you think he should check that the judge was properly assigned to the position, and that he can review the file of every officer in the chain of command whenever there's an order given.

And when I was pulled over for speeding, I should be able to look into the traffic engineer's personnel file to determine if he really has the Professional Engineer license required to assign that speed limit, and the credentials for the job, and no disciplinary actions that would. . . etc.
