1545: Sentence announced. Dismissal, confinement for 6 months, total forfeitures.
He could be.
The CAAFLOG blogger and owner Sullivan is a leftist ACLU supporter who represented and praised Gitmo terrorists. He also complained that the terrorists he represented did not get full access to discovery under the liberal UCMJ rules of Article 46. Sullivan certainly did not complain when LTC Lakin was not given any rights to discovery and witnesses under the same UCMJ Article.
Funny thing how our system frowns on military uprisings, aka mutinies.

What a “DISGRACE” to Our Country!!
LTC Lakin went through the Chain of Command for 2 1/2 years to ask about Mr. Obama. Questioning if Mr Obama is Constitutionally eligible to be POTUS?
Many in the Chain-of-Command agreeded with him but; no one else had the “guts” put their life on the line.
Lt Col Lakin had an impecable Military Record.... He is Highly Decorated for his Outstanding Service to Our Country!! He was recommended to be promoted to Full Colonel.
This Honorable Officer lost everything because Mr Obama is a “coward”!! Mr Obama needs to come forward & release his records & his past history!!
Lt. Col Lakin should be restored to his Rank & full Military Priviliges.... Mr Obama is the person who should go to jail for his “Fraud” against the American People!!
Mr Obama’s “Legal” father was never a US Citizen. He was a Kenyan with British Citizenship.... This gave Mr Obama “British Citizenship”!!!
This disqualifies Mr Obama from becoming POTUS!!
MR Obama knows that he is inelligible to be POTUS..... That is Fraud & Treason!! Punishable by life in Prison!!

Maybe I’m missing something, but this seems like a pretty stiff sentence considering that he pled guilty and his lawyer presumably made a plea deal before doing so.
He can live with 6 months detention. But the loss of all retirement benefits after 18 years of service is the real killer.
Why did he plead guilty, then?
You have an interesting sig line: “LTC Lakin sought a judicial solution to a political problem.” You understand that the constitutional role of the court system is to hear cases in law and equity (yes, this includes military law of which the president’s legitimacy is an essential element) and controversies of which the United States is a party?? Your sig also ignores that Lakin sought other solutions for the political problem before he chose civil disobedience.
All the way to the SCOTUS (After Speaker of House AKA President Boehner takes office as SoH....May explain the tears...He knows the cross he's been given to carry.)
Perhap as Commander in Chief, he didn’t believe a soldier in his service should dictate to him what he should do?

I wish all of the military would stop what they were doing and ask for Obama’s bc. Then no one could stop it.

He does now have standing to sue. And Lakin did plead "Not guilty" to the missing movement charge.
I wish that I had a job to offer him after he is released. An employee with principals is hard to find.
I think atrue patriot should have done his duty as an officer and a doctor and provided the troops with an experienced combat surgeon first, and then after he got back from his tour, disobeyed his orders. I think the men come first, then challenge the orders.
Imagine that, deny him the right to present any defense, and he gets convicted.
Perhaps some civil disobedience and protests would be in order ... signs that say ... Free LTC Lakin, but Release Obama’s Real Birth Certificate.
1. I'm with Juan on the principles over "benefits" perspective.
2. If Matt doesn't see the value in standing up for honor, perhaps he'll see the potential to make a quick buck by selling the story? If Lakin sells a book (ghost written, of course), he may make more in a year than the value of his foregone benefits. The nice thing about that is that he would have earned the money honorably rather than by supporting a usurper who refuses to prove his legal eligibility and who is clearly not an American in any meaningful sense regardless of where he happens to have been born.

Besides the fact that sixteen years under real Americans who believe the Constitution means what it says and that America as a free country is inherently great would rejuvenate our country for a century, it would warm my heart to see the usurper written not out of history because we need to learn from this terrible error that the parasitic and the dead made but out of the list of holders of the highest office in the land.
