That’s what I asked about on another thread. The GOP is selling us out and while there is outrage, where is the peaceful protest in the street?

I wish I could. I haven’t got $100 to my name, though.

No idea what to do. Can’t contribute, but I’ve posted stuff everywhere I can.

Conservatives have jobs and responsibilities, which could be a problem. ;-)

Short answer: NO!

Liberals can put a million on the street because as dissimilar as all the 'takers' are, they stick together. If the environmentalists need help, the gays and ethnic groups are there. If the abortion people need help, the anti-gun folks and, pedophiles are there.

But within the conservatives if one group wants to rally, they are usually on their own.

"camp and stop"

What evil was ever vanquished by camping and stopping?

No

2 reasons. It’s Christmas time and most Americans are involved with getting ready and have you seen a wind chill map of the DC area lately? Its damn cold to be running around the streets while our politicians hide out in congress and do whatever they want to anyway.

Demonstrations didn’t do us any good on Obamacare, did it?

(Republican “lame-ducks” in 2006)

Congress will convene on Tuesday for what some fear will be the lamest of lame-duck sessions, and GOP leaders have decided to take a minimalist approach before turning over the reins of power to the Democrats. Rather than a final surge of legislative activity, Congress will probably wrap up things after a single, short week of work. They have even decided to punt decisions on annual government spending measures to the Democrats next year.

“There is a lot of battle fatigue among members, probably on both sides of the aisle,” said Rep. Mike Pence (R-Ind.), usually a reliable conservative firebrand. “Contrary to popular belief, members of Congress are human beings. They have a certain shelf life and a certain amount of energy to be drawn on. We’re tired.”

Anguished over the Democrats’ victory on Nov. 7 and the tumult that has followed, GOP lawmakers want to get out of town. One senior Senate Republican aide called hopes for substantive legislation “delusional.”

Much of the problem is as prosaic as office space, GOP aides said. Lawmakers were forced to vacate their offices on Friday, and few of them want to hang around Washington with no place to sit. Retiring House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Bill Thomas (R-Calif.) got angry during a meeting of committee chairmen, demanding to know how he was supposed to complete work on the business tax extension bill without an office, according to one GOP aide present in the meeting.

I wish I could but I have a disabled husband that needs help 24/7. I’ll be there in spirit. I’m so mad at the Rats & RINO’s that I could spit. What is wrong with these jerks trying to get & getting all these pork projects in at the last minute without us knowing what they are voting on. Why is Reid still in? He should have been kicked to the curb in Nov. I’m fed up & we need a third party-THE TEA PARTY! I was originally a Rat (my family were union people in the 50’s & 60’s) the Rats left me so I became a Republican (Reagan) & now I’m a Conservative Tea Party Republican. The Parties left me as they moved left Progressive & I didn’t leave them. Shame on them. I’m into genealogy & maybe its time for another Revolution against the King & his minions.

Liberals can put a million on the street because...

...they pay them, bus them, feed them, and hand out t-shirts and printed signs. Astroturf.
