Troops who can't accept the idea of overturning the ban on gays in the military should consider leaving the service, says a senior aide to Gen. David Petraeus.
Command Sergeant Major Marvin Hill tells TV One's "Washington Watch" that he believes "the troops are ready" for the repeal of the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy.
"If there are people who cannot deal with the change, then they're going to have to do what's best for their troops and best for the organization and best for the military service and exit the military service, so that we can move forward -- if that's the way that we have to go," Hill says in an interview with Roland Martin, scheduled to air Sunday.
Hill says it will be up to military brass to "set the tone" for the rank-and-file in accepting gay service members.
"We know that if there is a change, that that change will have to be led, and it's going to have to be led by senior leaders such as myself and -- and others across the battlefield," Hill says.

A combat Infantry veteran, my son is leaving the Army after 12 years. And it has a lot to do with this kind of insane “must accept perversion or else” mentality starting to pervade the Army.
If you're asking my opinion, I'd have to go with your initial assumption.
I seriously doubt that such a senior NCO would say anything political like this without having been commanded to do so.
Exactly. But nothing done by 0bama's Administration is ever done subtly, is it? It's always calculated to be outrageous and in our face by design.

Because he has not had a duty where he could earn the CIB. He has been in a position where he could get the CAB but never the good one.
This POS has been promoted through the ranks, and given jobs that would help pad his career but keep him directly out of the action, for one reason only.
You can easily guess that reason.
This repeal of DADT is wrong on so many levels, the first being no one is comprehending the big picture....this is a war involving life and death, NOT a God Damn sexual dating service The stupid idiot-in-chief and his lover Reggie should concentrate on their own problems and not make it anyone else’s. If Obama was out of the closet I might have a better understanding of his zest to appeal DADT so until that day why doesn’t he concentrate on the budget or something?

This is in effect a bloodless purge of the military. And it’s step 1 of destroying the military.
Oh we are so much further down the road than "step 1". Endless tours, suicidal ROE, PC brass, but the big one is the fact that we are grinding up our gear in the sand and mountains for nothing in return.
Are we replacing shot-up A-10s and Apaches? Any new MBTs on the way? Where are hundreds of billions of $$ going to anyway? We are emptying the Treasury and burning down the inventory while perfecting the art of low collateral domestic urban warfare, suitable for bringing back home and applying liberally.
I predict poop-pushers will be fast-tracked into upper management for all the obvious reasons.
My son interest in the military but if DADT is repealed, now way no how.. If there is a ever a draft, he is up to Canada.
