Comedian Kathy Griffin wasn’t so popular with the troops during her USO Diva’s Salute stand-up act on Sunday, when she poked fun at Bristol Palin’s weight.
“[Bristol Palin] is the only contestant in the history of ["Dancing with the Stars"] to actually gain weight.”
Following a chorus of boos, Griffin went on to say, “No, come on, come on. She gained, like, 30 pounds a week. I swear to God, it was fantastic. She’s like the white ‘Precious,’” referring to the obese African-American character in the eponymous 2009 film.
When the booing continued, Griffin shouted, “You can boo louder than that! Come on, boo me! I love it! I love it! War is Hell, war is Hell!”
This isn’t the first shot Griffin has taken at the Palin family. In 2009, Griffin made jokes about Sarah Palin’s infant Trig, who was born with Down Syndrome. Kathy Griffin justified calling Trig Palin a “retard baby” via Twitter:

Kathy Griffin used to be a reasonably funny stand-up comedienne. Then she became notorious for being “mean”, and it’s been a downward spiral as she gets meaner and meaner to keep up with her own reputation.
I want to be appreciative of ANYone who volunteers time for the troops (e.g., Al Franken), but this? I can’t be appreciative of this. It’s not as though Griffin was taking herself away from a busy, lucrative career.
It’s not that you can’t fix ugly....it’s just that when ugly goes to the very CORE of your being, no amount of surgery can help you.
Miss Griffin is just such a person.

The just age so ungracefully. Compare a 45-60 year old formerly hot liberal womand with a similar conservative woman. It's shocking. The libs make it even worse by resorting to so much botox/plastic surgery they look like freaks or wax dummies.

I don’t disagree with what you wrote, but in this case it is the USO that is embarrassing itself.
I have donated to them in the past. I will not anymore.

Comedian. That’s a laugh, right there. That ugly bitch should be working the Gay clubs in SF, putting down America, where her REAL act will be popular and her real following is. What the hell is wrong with the USO? someone needs to be fired for putting her dumb ass in front of the very troops that you know she despises.
