Haifa Forest Fire 'One of Israel's Worst'
A forest fire near Haifa, in northern Israel, has killed at least 40 people and injured many more. Firefighters are battling the blaze while paramedics evacuate those who were injured.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reached out to Italy, Cyprus and Russia for help in fighting the fire. The cause of the Israel forest fire is unknown.
Damon Prison has been evacuated, but a bus carrying prison staff overturned while trying to escape.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office called it one of the worst known fires in Israel and ordered the military to assist rescue and firefighting efforts.
Fireman Dudu Vanunu told Channel Two television he saw flames consume a bus believed to be trying to evacuate people ahead of the enormous fire.
"Anyone who's ever seen a firestorm will know. They could not survive it, they had no protection, they just fell to the road and burned alive," he said.

Hey, I’m just saying. I’ve seen hundreds of not thousands of photos of Israel and the Holy Land over many years and not one of them had a forest in it. Matter of fact most everything looked like desert. Maybe I didn’t see the forests for the trees. LOL
Any celebrations in the West Bank or Gaza? According to breaking news, those on the bus were all guards.
You know they will—they’ll praise their Allah for it.

Something very strange, is that I awoke to this news after having a bizarre dream about a forest fire (it’s morning for me right now). I don’t recall ever having a dream about a fire. Until this morning, I did not know there was a fire in northern Israel.
In this dream, I (and one other person) started a fire at a desk (I don’t remember the whys or hows), and then it quickly burned in a in a narrow line moving due north (this from watching news on TV and seeing a report that showed a map of the fire). The line of the fire had already moved past where it was marked on the map. No info on where this was located, just some mountains. It was only a line many miles long, being drawn to the north.
The details of the dream were sketchy, but this other person in the dream had died and was discovered by firefighters at his desk where the fire started.
I was obviously worried that my involvement/knowledge would be discovered, but reports all indicated that the source was only this one man at his desk (speculation that he was a disgruntled employee burning some documents). Dreams are funny in that they can switch scenes to something completely unrelated. Or maybe...?
While I was worried about this fire, I was visiting a friend in town who was about to give birth. This is a woman who I know in real life, but I haven’t seen her in several months - her actual due date was in August. In the dream (and in real life) this was her fourth child. Anyway, while I was talking with her, her husband, and a couple other friends, she sensed she was going into labor and was lying on a bed. Her doctor was standing by but no rush to get things ready. Then suddenly she gave birth. Quickly, no complications, no pain. I half-jokingly told her (and everyone agreed) that for “the next one” she should be careful - she would probably give birth in her sleep and not even wake up. Furthmore, since this was so easy for her, she was obviously destined/designed to have 8 or 10 children.
Not long after this birth, maybe half an hour, she was up and walking about, obviously about to give birth to yet another child!
Yikes.

Well if you planted all of those “A Tree will be Planted in Israel in Your Name” Bar Mitzva gifts in one place, eventually you would have a forest.

Yes, all 40 were prison guards en route to a prison to evacuate prisoners..... beyond the 40, there are others who are missing..
