Amerithrax experts debate FBI findings, insist Ivins was innocent

WASHINGTON -- The FBI may have closed its Amerithax case against Fort Detrick scientist Bruce Ivins nine months ago, but some experts are not willing to let the issue die quite so easily.

A group of about 25 scientists, professors, writers, terrorism experts and more convened Monday afternoon to discuss the particulars of the investigation and to debate who the real perpetrator may have been.

I don’t I believe the anthrax attack was done by the ‘terrorist that were killed on 9-11! Of course you can’t get the FBI to believe the obvious! It took them almost 10 years to realize that the terrorist attack in 1993 was preceded the death of the Conservative Jewish guy in New York!

I think they used Ivens to close the case because they have info that would make them seem dumber than a rock.

This is comparable to the Condit fiasco.

I occasionally post here because it's easy and it's not moderated, so you can usually get responses right away instead of having to wait until the next day because the moderator has to read everything over first.

The J-Lo letter had nothing to do with the anthrax attacks. Click HERE for solid proof.

There was a "hidden message" in the letters sent to Brokaw and the NY Post. Ivins was observed throwing away the code books for the hidden message. Click HERE for details.

Ivins made two serious errors that got him caught. Click HERE for details.

Ivins tried numerous ways to cover up his crime. Click HERE for details.

I could go on and on.

"Steven Hatfill worked for SAIC, but he’s probably not guilty anyway...anyone can make a mistake."

Steven Hatfill was the victim of an attempted lynching by a bunch of conspiracy theorists, aided by the media.

It's all documented, step by step. Just click HERE.

"I also believe the Anthrax scenario was part of the 9-11 scheme. A second front if you will.

Investigators knew almost immediately that it wasn't part of any al Qaeda plot.

The first thing they did was track what killed Bob Stevens, and that was even before they knew there were any letters.

Stevens was killed by the Ames strain of anthrax, which is a RARE strain controlled and distributed by USAMRIID to just a few laboratories - 14 other labs in the U.S. and 3 outside of the U.S. (Canada, Sweden and England).

Then it became a matter of figuring out what lab it came from. They eventually proved that it originated at USAMRIID in Ft. Detrick, Maryland, and they even identified the specific flask it came from - flask RMR-1029 which was created and controlled by Bruce Ivins.

There's just no reasonable way that any al Qaeda member could have gotten his hands on that specific flask - particularly since there are many many other strains of anthrax around, including some that are more deadly than the Ames strain.

And, as I stated in another post, they even caught Ivins throwing away the code books for the "hidden message" in the media letters.

Anyone who still thinks al Qaeda did it just isn't looking at the facts. That was a dead idea nine years ago.

If anything, the Anthrax was mailed to liberals to gin up support for the Patriot Act, etc.

Speaking of the beltway snipers. Why hasnt't AQ copied that MO? Two men effectively terrorized and shut down DC/NVA area.

No movie plot needed for the terrorist, just use guns to snipe people. Pretty, effective for AQ or any other Terror organization to do.

Can you be specific about what parts in the report you find incorrect?

Being a mathematician, I'm always looking for patterns.

T--- -- ---T
T--- ---A-----
---
--A-- T-
-------
----- T- ------
A---- -- ----T

What do you see?

2 T’s for every A is one pattern

Do you think it was John Ezzell with the “cavalier attitude” toward the December 2001 swabbing?

Where do you think the non-RMR-1029 animal challenge (Dugway-Spore replacements) went?

Sure woulda been nice if the fourth line had two A double-strokes, eh?

"Who said anything about alqueda and anthrax??"

You posted this:

"I also believe the Anthrax scenario was part of the 9-11 scheme. A second front if you will."

Al Qaeda was responsible for the 9/11 "scheme." If the anthrax attacks were "a second front," that suggests al Qaeda was responsible for the anthrax attacks, too.

Are you a "truther"?

And that strain was distributed all over the place....

Actually, only 15 domestic labs and 3 foreign.

But I find it remarkable how many potential persons of interest there can be--amazing how many of potential financial motive, etc.

Oops. On second reading, it now seems that you think Malvo was behind the anthrax attacks.

That's just plain preposterous. Where would clowns like that get the kind of anthrax in the letters? They'd kill themselves before they could do anything with such powders.

"What do you see?"

On thing that you do not see in that pattern is that the A in the second line is in a misspelled word: PENACILIN.

Part of the coding technique is to leave an indicator like that to signal that there is a code hidden in the message. The misspelled word attracts attention, and the A is highlighted, which says highlighted letters mean something.

Steven Hatfill was the victim of an attempted lynching by a bunch of conspiracy theorists, aided by the media.

Agreed...though things like getting Cipro a few days before the things were mailed and authoring details on how an anthrax attack could be conducted doesn't look good for circumstances, and lying about his Army service (claiming to have been a Captain in the US Special Forces), forging a diploma, and working for SAIC doesn't look good for character.

It's all documented, step by step. Just click HERE.

Well, I didn't see all of it documented.

Pardon me for asking for the Readers Digest version, but do you conclude why Barbara Hatch Rosenberg initially went after Dr. Hatfill? Do you believe it was an honest but rigid mentality that concluded and fixated? Nicholas D. Kristof apologized--did she?
