I have a family member whose parents forced them to give up the baby. One of the birth parents is now terminally ill and they are trying to find the grown adoptee.
They cannot find her because there is a mistake on the BC. If the adoptee searches for them, she will be led to the wrong birth parents.

Lost my dad literally when we were going to visit him for Christmas. We were leaving on a Friday and blood clots went into his lungs on that Thursday. He had a DNR so there was nothing we could do except watch him pass from the morphine.
I did not realize it was so sudden, so sorry to hear that. IIRC, it was just recently too, so I am sure this season renews the grief.
