WASHINGTON (RNN) - Fox News has turned down an advertisement in support of repealing "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," citing concerns about the ad's factualness.
The ad features generals from allied military forces saying that gay troops do not undermine combat effectiveness.
"The ad was misleading based on its presumption," said Dianne Brandi, executive vice president of legal and business affairs for Fox News.
Christopher Neff, deputy executive director of the Palm Center, which placed the ad, said Tuesday the organization "stands by the accuracy of the ad."

Neff said the concern seemed to center on the ad's opening line: "As the military prepares to end 'Don't ask, Don't tell,' our NATO allies have told us what to expect: Business as usual."
He said no other network the organization approached, including CNN, NBC and MSNBC, expressed concern and reiterated that the ad will air once budgeting issues are resolved.
The ad features two senior military officials who were asked to speak to an academic panel about their professional experiences. Neff said the ad states the facts rather than lobbying for repeal.
"This is important information to be considered as the nation and Congress address the issue," he said.
One of the generals featured in the ad, Maj. Gen. Simon Willis, former head of defense personnel in the Australian Defense Force, said he doesn't understand the controversy over repealing DADT.
"The lifting of the homosexual ban was a bit like Y2K," Willis said, referring to the late 1990s computer crisis that wasn't. "It was a non-event, and it continues to be a non-event," he said.
Neff also said the Palm Center didn't expect a problem with Fox News and hopes the network will reconsider airing the ad. He said he believes Fox's reluctance to air the ad might be because it considers DADT to be "on hold."
Defense Secretary Robert Gates is expected to release his review of DADT and its effect on military readiness on Dec. 1.
So,what happens when regular G.I.s walk away in droves, fill Levenworth??
Many of our Allies don't HAVE combat effectiveness. :(
As soon as it becomes policy that openly homosexual people can participate in the armed forces, then they will assert themselves as a “protected” class. The Holder’s of the world will claim that military tribunals will not be adequate to protect their Constitutional rights and we will see civilian and Federal court cases brought by the ACLU against members of the Armed Forces being tried in civilian courts. These cases will be against officers and against fellow enlisted personnel.
The full impact of allowing homosexuals to serve openly by rescinding DADT will be felt when the Armed Forces fail to meet initial recruiting goals (trainees), those eligible to reenlist don't (trainers), and the experienced (leaders) retire. Those who first served in Desert Shield and Desert Storm are now retirement-eligible.
Whats next, “Don’t LISP, don’t Swish”..
Placemarl for pingout.
If the job market was more viable you can be sure there would be a mass departure from the military.
LOL..."Palm Center".....You can't make this stuff up!
Those in favor of repealing DADT are scum and should be treated as nothing more than traitors to this country.
You are probably right my friend. This will certainly hurt recruiting. Damn these liberals to hell. My only hope is that one day they are made to pay a steep price for this stab in the back to the world’s greatest military.
Agree on both counts.

DADT is the concession that was made when Klintoon wanted to force the military to accept "open" homosexuals in the military. The truth is that homosexuals - "open" or not - harm overall military readiness and morale, and ruin lives or harm many lives individually; as homosexuals are notorious for high rates of AIDS, promiscuity, rape, and sexual violence. They do NOT belong in the military, "open" or not. Even if the repeal of DADT is somehow forced through before January, the incoming R majority need to do everything they can to stop it, and then completely overturn it as soon as 0bastard is out of office and both houses are R majority in 2012.

Lie. This is the truth:

Homosexual Assault in the Military
Family Reserch Council ^ | Peter Sprigg
“FRC has reviewed the “case synopses” of all 1,643 reports of sexual assault reported by the four branches of the military for Fiscal Year 2009 (October 1, 2008 through September 30, 2009). Our startling finding was that over eight percent (8.2%) of all military sexual assault cases were homosexual in nature. This suggests that homosexuals in the military are about three times more likely to commit sexual assaults than heterosexuals are, relative to their numbers.”
And the above doesn’t even take into account the numbers of homosexual assault that military members do not report out of shame.
Homosexuals DO NOT BELONG IN THE MILITARY! FIGHT IT!

All three articles are excellent and everyone who is interested in a strong military should read them.
Good information.
Thanks.
Absolutely!... Let me borrow your point to expand on the issue: We all know that all these Government organizations STINK!... except for, that's right, THE MILITARY. Well, if these LESBIAN FAGS DEGENERATES get their way, they will essentially KILL the ONLY organization that has any value to Americans who love and admire them exactly for homos don't have, strength of character and love of country and more. If you and I, are all so WEAK or simply so stupid, and let this happen by not putting the needed amount of pressure on the weasels of congress (and I'm talking about "OURS") to SEE IT OUR WAY... then, they will get their wish and that day we should all be ashame of ourselves for letting it happen. Because if we don't have enough conviction to defend our heroes who sacrifice their own live for us, then whom can we defend?... If they don't matter, who does?
As DEMONSTRATED in the last election... These weirdos are "insignificant" in terms of numbers... They are inconsequential in terms of getting people elected, so let's make sure we convey this fact to our weasels in congress. To get serious on the issues important to us and to hell with the queers, lesbians, trans-WHATEVER.
And as the "soup-Nazi" would say "Next!..." :)
