Let me explain what I mean. Bush built TSA. Conservatives empowered the government because they “knew” their guy would not abuse the power.
The constitution was written to assume that “any” power given to the government would eventually be abused. Conservatives have spent years braiding the rope that is hanging them now.

I don’t disagree with you. Bush put the system in place, and I opposed it because I knew this kind of crap would happen with the wrong kind of president in charge. The power to do things is also the power to abuse things. Its time to eliminate 85 to 90 percent of what government does. However, I don’t think Americans can summon up the type of courage and committment that that will take. The tyrants will not go away peacefully, and what the TSA is now doing is evidence of that. Obama is trying to show the people who the boss really is.

I agree. We [Conservatives] have no one to blame but themselves.

Bullshit. I'm tired of this retarded line. Conservatives hated Bush. That's why he left office with 20% approval. He didn't even have the conservative base. The only people he had left were the diehard moronic party-line republicans, who, just like the party-line democrats, continue thoughtlessly voting for their R or D because daddy did. Assholes like you take so much joy in trying to smugly pointing out conservative hypocrisy like this, but it's a load of crap. All the final conservative hold outs abandoned Bush by the time of Harriet Miers.
