As a conservative site, Free Republic is pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-Constitution, pro-Bill of Rights, pro-gun, pro-limited government, pro-private property rights, pro-limited taxes, pro-capitalism, pro-national defense, pro-freedom, and-pro America. We accept no paid advertising or promotions. We are funded solely by donations (non tax deductible gifts) from our readers and participants.
We aggressively defend our God-given and first amendment guaranteed rights to free speech, free press, free religion, and FREEDOM of ASSOCIATION, as well as our constitutional right to control the use and content of our own personal private property. Despite the wailing of the liberal trolls and other doom & gloom naysayers, we feel no compelling need to allow them a platform to promote their repugnant and obnoxious propaganda from our forum. Free Republic is NOT a liberal debating society. We are conservative activists dedicated to defending our GOD-GIVEN rights, defending our constitution, defending our republic and defending our traditional American way of Life.

I agree that debate, with reason as the over-riding thrust of discussion, is imperative.
What you may not understand is this: Liberals, socialists, demoncrats, et. al. do not understand nor comprehend the concept of “reasoned debate” or “compromise”.....unless it is to force others to compromise and yield to the Lefts point of view.
Libs are like jihadis. While they most likely won’t kill you outright, they’ll surely find a way to destroy you long before they’ll ever be treated for their own mental illnesses.

Add to that Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, Admiral Mullin and Secretary of Defense Gates. These gentlemen need to realize THE PEOPLE trump ANY POTUS. They seem to think that REAL American citizens have no problem with open homosexuals in the military. They need to wake up and correctly advise the POTUS to stop his nonsense of putting open homosexuals in the military. IF they can’t, they need to go, and ANY general/flag grade officer that thinks open homosexuals belong in uniform. There are plenty of real generals & admirals to replace you limp wrist lovers.

I’m afraid I did not even speak of the subject of Abortion on this thread... I started my partispation in this thread with the mere suggestion that it might be wise to allow liberals and even socialist to post. Primarily for the propose of “derision” as you say and illustrated debunking methods.
That was shot down by the “boss” and I have accepted his judgment. Te remainder of my partispation in this thread is in response to people such as your self that make clams about me and others which i think are demonstratively false.
If you must know my position on Abortion, i feel it is a State issue in exactly the same way murder is a State issue.
I say this because depending upon the State’s definition of where life begins abortion IS MURDER!
I have long advocated that this is the best way we conservatives should be assaulting the issue of abortion. Just as it is the core of the issue behind abortion. Is the killing of the unborn murder? Many if not most Americans in many States feel it is. Which is why Abortion is so emotionally and morally repugnant.
This is not simply a traffic ticket thing... To a lot if not most Americans this is outright murder!

Where do you get the loopy idea that Roe v Wade guarantees the right to have as many children as you want, or that any state ever regulated that right, with or without Roe?
