We are not connected to or funded by any political party, news agency, or any other entity. We sell no merchandise, product or service, and we offer no subscriptions or paid memberships. We accept no paid advertising or promotions. We are funded solely by donations (non tax deductible gifts) from our readers and participants.
We aggressively defend our God-given and first amendment guaranteed rights to free speech, free press, free religion, and FREEDOM of ASSOCIATION, as well as our constitutional right to control the use and content of our own personal private property. Despite the wailing of the liberal trolls and other doom & gloom naysayers, we feel no compelling need to allow them a platform to promote their repugnant and obnoxious propaganda from our forum. Free Republic is NOT a liberal debating society. We are conservative activists dedicated to defending our GOD-GIVEN rights, defending our constitution, defending our republic and defending our traditional American way of Life.

As a pro-life, pro-liberty, pro-family atheist, I can certainly live with FR being pro-God. (Obviously, considering I am still around after 12 years.) Most of the fine folks on this forum share my desire for a smaller limited government. I don’t spend much time worrying that we may not share the same source for our motivations. I have learned to leave the religious threads to the believers and to be respectful of others on matters of faith. For the most part, that is how others have treated me.

Thank You Jim. Needs to be heard by those who ride the fence.
This may be off topic, but I`d like to issue a call to action! The lame duck session has generated any number of rumors of pending rat legislative actions on the likes of Crap and Tax, Card Check, and Dream(nightmare) Act,just to name a few. A call to action by our leadership here would go a long way to getting people motivated. Please consider supporting this call with an official thread. We all know how much weight your word carries, its pinch time and we need to circle the wagons till the Calvary arrives.
The gov cannot be neutral. Either abortion is legal or it is illegal. Either homosexuals can be all over the place in the schools and military, or they cannot.
There is no third neutral ground.
And don't NONE of you varmints even THINK about treading on Free Republic!!
