After two months of closed-door meetings, a coalition of African-American leaders has settled on U.S. Rep. Danny Davis, D-Ill., as its "consensus candidate" for Chicago mayor.
It was a late turnaround for the veteran congressman, who was not among the two finalists the Chicago Coalition for Mayor said they were considering endorsing a week ago to succeed Mayor Richard Daley.
Hey Chicago! See that over the horizon? That’s Detroit and your future.
That makes sense. In Rahm’s case it couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.
Davis has the IQ of a turnip... not to mention he looks 90.
Nope. He's gonna coast, and walk into office laughing about the above.

You are projecting. Black Democrats (especially in Chicago) are easily bought.
When you've got a guy, Obama, who attended the Church of the Universal Hatred For Crackers for 20 years, you expected better?
NONE of them are qualified. Rahm-bo doesn’t have the LEAST idea about what it takes to run a business in this city. That’s at least something that BOTH Daleys understood - that they had to do things - by and large, with the exception of WalMart - that made it attractive for businesses to operate there. It’s now at the State level that the most unfriendly-to-business policies exist. The election of Quinn is going to drive more businesses away!!!
Danny Davis.
Hard to believe that mentally ill Alvin Greene won 30% of the vote in South Carolina vs Demint. I guess it is no accident that 30% of the SC voters are black.I would be hard pressed to find one non white person who voted for this insane man.If they ever expect to advance, they need to get over the racial bias that is so much a part of that political culture. it is sickening.
Correction one non black personone non white person=
Repeating and correcting earlier post

Yes, but a very LARGE turnip.

When the reporter said, “Arican-American,” I hope he was referring to people who were born in Africa. About 2/3 of Blacks, I know, dislike being called African-Americans. They know that, since a dictionary definition of African is a resident of Africa, an African-American is anyone who was born in Africa, immigrated to the U.S., and became an American citizen. This definition includes a few races, so whether someone is an African-American cant be determined by his or her skin color.
Which conservative and/or Republican will run for mayor of Chicago? I read that Ron Gidwitz is considering it, and I joined a facebook fan page, to encourage Dan Proft to run.
No matter who, they’ve got a shot. But of course, the Demwit machine is so utterly corrupt that nothing short of an asteroid strike will clean it up.
Who? I thought we were a 'colorblind' society? We are blind however...
