The rise of the Tea Party movement shows "democracy works ," former President George W. Bush says in an interview to air Tuesday night on Fox News' "Hannity."

"Here's what I see. I see democracy working. People are expressing a level of frustration or concern and they're getting involved in the process," Bush told Sean Hannity in advance of the release Tuesday of his memoir, "Decision Points."

"And the truth of the matter is, democracy works in America," Bush said.

I agree, although their end goal is the same.

Junior Bush, like 0bama, Clinton & Daddy Bush all ignored the Mexican border issue.

Why build a fence if you’re only going to have to tear it down when we become part of the “North American Union”?

I have been with GW through thick and thin, but if it`s true that he said Sarah was unqualified etc , then that`s the last straw.

I defended this guy through thick and thin, heck my user ID is friend of george!

Hannity will ask him in the interview, GW better deny that he said that about Sarah!

Normally I would not be so quick to believe it, but a search using...BUSH ON PALIN, brings this supposed quote up as early as 2009.

Not only did he perhaps trash Palin, but he has reportedly said that Sarah is the reason McCain did so badly, that is the part that suggests he might not have said it??

McCain was a terrible candidate, he staggered and stumbled around debate stages, saying outrageous things and even yelling at his supporters.

Sarah was the only bright spot of the entire campaign and is more than qualified! If it had not been for Sarah, McCain would have lost bigger, much bigger

We don’t need HIM to tell us! W was not exactly a follower of the Consitution himself when he held office.

as we just found out painfully in california, democracy doesn't work. a more or less random shot here by our mob finally took out our 2/3 vote tax protection, elected a governor who will probably torpedo proposition 13 (sinking us home owners) and failed to suspend a suicidal energy tax based on the hoax of global warming (ab 32) by voting down our grassroots initiative, prop 23 (which i gathered signatures for myself on my own dime).

the founders...proven right once again.

You mean like Reagan don’t you?! . . . Do your research — does the name Bill Bennett sound familiar to you?!

May God continue to bless President George W Bush!

The New York Daily News (far far far left news organization), aided by Media Matters (another far far far left organization), has accomplished its mission.

I just scrolled down and read some of the BDS crap already posted on this thread. Pathetic.

These poor people are trying so hard to stay angry at this good man......making things up, calling him names, trying so desperately to deny the obvious.........kinda makes you feel sorry for them, doesn't it, LUV?

Oh........and the "Bush gave us Obama" tripe is a completely non-factual, emotional outburst from people who are denying the reality of what was going on in 2008.

Hopefully that silly theory will fade into oblivion.

(Thanks for the article! Perfect antidote to the garbage posted about President Bush yesterday).

Why in heaven's name would you believe that leftist garbage? Since you have been with GW through thick and thin, you KNOW that he didn't say those things about Sarah. It would be completely out of character for him.

Just keep in mind what the left is trying to do. They are trying to destroy the conservative insurgency.

And what better way to do that then to pit conservative against conservative? What better way than to make up garbage about President Bush attacking Sarah Palin?

This kind of stuff will continue as we move toward 2012, and there will be useful idiots on FR who will help the left try to divide us.

Don't let them succeed!

W only made one HUGE mistake. Instead of taking advice on how to handle the mortgage meltdown from the 2 men most responsible for causing it (Bernake, and Paulson) he should have shown them the door.

Just waiting for a FREAKIN denial from GW, THAT`S ALL!!!

Why hasn`t he nipped this in the bud already? If he tells Hannity this is a total lie, then that will be AWESOME.

At this point he has not denied it, so he is at fault for this alone. This was first reported in 2009.

I hope it`s not true.

Friend, if President Bush wasted his time jumping out and denying every press rumor and 'anonymous source' against him, it would take every hour of every day.

I'm sure when Hannity asks him, he'll tell the truth. He respects Sarah Palin and he supports her, but he's not a political pundit, and won't make any comments about a Presidential bid.

If you keep in mind that he is completely consistent, and that the two most hated people to the far left are President Bush and Sarah Palin, it will put some of these ridiculous rumors in perspective.

There will be many more of these divisive lies coming, and as I said, there will be FR tools who will advance the leftist line. President Bush won't deny them all, nor should he.

For full disclosure I did not feel good about doubting GW, it is up to him to deny this report though.

I was disappointed in Laura recently, as we had always suspected she is not pro life.

Thanks for your post LuvW! :)
I sure miss him. Life was soooo much better for my family and all of us while he was in office. No man is perfect and for those looking for this,... they will forever be disappointed.

President Bush is an honorable man with intgrity and geniune love for America, the people, Military and was one of the best CIC.

The liberals, rinos with the media went out to destroy him and many sold out to believe their lies. History will be true to President Bush. I'm certain most military personnel will agree they miss him. The people I know who presently serve, absolutely miss him. I look forward to reading his book :)

“I was disappointed in Laura recently...”

It used to amaze me that people set themselves up to be disappointed in Laura, by simply not knowing much about her and making untrue assumptions based on ignorance, but now nothing about that amazes me since I’ve seen so much of it.

This woman was a fabulous First Lady, but she never pretended to be a conservative.

I think it’s obvious her own personal lifestyle is conservative, but she’s one of these “open minded” types who is somewhat of a bleeding heart. She came from a family of 100% Democrats. Marrying into the Bush family certainly didn’t make her anything politically that she wasn’t already. She was into her 30s when she married.

The Bush family themselves have been excoriated for not being conservatives, so the fact that anyone could assume Laura would be one - and become “disappointed” when they finally awakened to see what was true all along - is just bizarre.

/Rant off

No, I don't mean like Reagan.

does the name Bill Bennett sound familiar to you?!

Does the name Harriet Myers sound familiar to you? How about Ted Kennedy? John McCain? Russ Feingold?

Do your research

You first.
