Somehow, some of us believed that at least Fiorina could pull it off, because, as a resident of this crazy state, it didn't appear that there was a lot of love for Boxer. And I even thought Meg Whitman could surprise the pundits and possibly squeak out a win. After all, Jerry Brown, a career polititian, is like a joke who has done just about nothing right. So how did Boxer and Brown do it? Yes, I've seen what I think is voter fraud before, but I don't think it's enough to add up to a big win. Yes, there are a lot of angry, geriatric liberals who are terrified of anyone with an 'R' next to their name, but again, not enough. I kind of think, in California, that there are so many who depend on the state for their incomes, whether it's union employees or welfare spongers, that they overwhelm the rest of us.
And that's the way it is now in CA: unions against the rest of us. And I hope the rest of us seriously consider moving to Texas because Jerry Brown's only plan of action will be to take more money away from those who earn it in the private sector.
Is that what happened in Nevada with Harry Reid? Maybe people living in the state could address that. From here it appeared that Reid was a big loser, no one was coming to his rallies and he was toast. What happened? How did he do it? I don't know.
Barney Frank? Did the morons in Massachusetts not believe that he was deeply involved with the Freddie Mac Fannie Mae fiasco? How much does this guy have to do wrong before he's thrown out? How did he become a Kennedy? I don't know. Maybe someone has an answer.
it is quite simple...just look where they come from
Brown, Boxer? CA
Reid? the casino cities of Nevada
Frank? MA
I am from NY and it would follow that Cuomo, Gillebrand, and Schumer (and a pletora of other Dhimmicrat wins) won because of where they ran...
any more questions....
It's just swell to think that Brown, and possibly Boxer, owe their positions to the illegal subculture and a sleazy pseudo lawyer.
Liberalism is a mental disorder.
Different reasons:
Frank is an incumbent from the bluest of blue states.
Brown and Boxer were opposed by RINOs...self-proclaimed moderates with plenty of baggage.
Sharron Angle was despised and more vilified by the Republican part than the Democrats. When the party fails to provide support for a candidate in a state that is dominated by SEIU - what can you expect?
A single strategy won’t work everywhere, but what have we learned when we fail to run good conservative candidates? The real issue is, has the Republican party heard the message, and will they embrace the Tea Party in the future or will they take the party into obsolescence?
Ann Coulter has said you can’t be liberal and Christian. More and more I think this is true. You have so many liberals...no faith in God and no faith in the average person God has created (which explains the “he/she is not qualified” meme thrown at tea party candidates).
To liberals, government is their religion. These (old) faces are well-associated with big government and liberals flock to them for that reason. Appallingly pathetic.
Don’t get me wrong, I wished they all lost, but having them in people’s faces for the next two years, bitching and whining and powerless in the House, their efforts stymied, will only remind people of why we have to crush the Dems completely in 2012.
Again, I wish they lost, am not in denial. But they are now wounded and still reminding people why they hate them.
lots of illegals there, unions, mob probably counted the votes, lots of mormon investment also, no telling what all
” It’s as if they want to suppress the private sector forever and as long as they are bailed out, why shouldn’t they”
Agree. When you think you can get something for nothing, without having to do any work, then why not continue ???
Also, if you live that way, and someone convinces you that you will lose everything if someone else is representing you , then you want to maintain your current position.
California is going to go bankrupt no matter who sits in the governor’s mansion. Look what electing The Jerkinator brought it? More out of control spending. Whitman with her business acumen probably would have tacked left just like The Jerkinator did to get anything done with the loony tunes in the State House. Ironically, Brown is the guy who started the whole spiraling out of control process in the first place. That’s what I found interesting.
Meg Whitman was single-handedly brought down by one person—that vile Gloria Allred—CNN monitored the Twitters and they turned negative when the state found out she hired that illegal. geesh
Two words....VOTE FRAUD
or four letters S...E...I...U...
Whitman was trailing in the polls even before that scandal popped up on the radar. Whitman just bungled that scandal and it cost her.
The California girls ran as moderates. That’s what happened.
FRAUD indeed pre boxed votes work every time, see BROWN, BOXER, REID, FRANK.
If you did, you would not ask this question.
For MANY years, I did not understand politics, and I asked questions like you are asking.
And then I thought about four words. I pondered these words, I ascended to the mountaintop, and meditated upon them ... and then I received enlightenment.
The four words are "City Councilman Marion Barry". Look them up if you don't understand.
Former mayor and former jailbird Marion Barry's current position on the Washington, DC city council is democracy at its finest; a perfect operation of our republican form of government. He is the perfect representative of his constituents.
Pelosi, Reid, Mikulski, Frank, the lot, are likewise perfect representatives of their constituents.
Fraud is bad; it should be stamped out. There may be problems with the way Congress is called into session, how long it stays, and what congressmen are paid.
But those are not the real problems.
The problem isn't even in the voting booth, or at least doesn't begin there. The real problem occurs when real live citizens of these United States see government as the solution to all their problems, and see socialism as the manner in which their problems will be solved.
Go into any randomly selected city or town ... look around you. One of every three people you see is a hard-core socialist, and one other of every three can't figure which way is up or what he believes.
The problem begins right here at home with "We, the People".
Reid was embarrassed that Frank saw his Brown Boxers.
??? Because if they’d run as conservatives they would have won? Really? Tell it to the unions.
