WASHINGTON (AP) — Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid says lawmakers of both parties need to start working together now that Republicans have reduced the Democrats' dominance in the chamber.
Reid said on NBC's "Today" show that he planned to speak Wednesday with Minority Leader Mitch McConnell on ways to "build a consensus and move this country along."
Senate Democrats lost at least six seats on Election Day, but narrowly held their majority.

You have to assume that Nevada deserves what it gets. 17% unemployment Obama policies, abject stupidity. The same goes for California. If they want to be the bastion for socialism and decay while the rest of the country strives to get out of this democratically-induced depression, so be it. Conservatives should be heartened by the 63+ seat pickup in the house, the Senate and governorship pickups as well as the massive state legislature pickups.
I thought of taking a trip to Las Vegas this fall since I have not been there for several years. Now I don’t think I want to. Maybe I should email the visitor center there and tell them I am “boycotting.”
