Turkey: Ankara adds Israel to list of strategic security threats

Turkey and Israel are at it again, but this time it's over reports that Turkey has added Israel to its so-called "Red Book," the top-secret security document that lists the country's threats and enemies.

Israeli tourism minister Stas Misezhnikov struck back on Sunday by calling on Israelis to boycott Turkey as a tourist destination out of "national honor."

According to Turkish media, the Red Book, which is amended every five years, now identifies Israel as a "strategic threat" to Turkey.

The document, which is drawn up by Turkey's National Security Council, accuses Israel of being a destabilizing force and says Israeli actions could provoke a regional arms race.

Conflicting reports emerged over whether or not Iran, considered a major security threat by Turkey's NATO allies, had been removed from the same list.

Although the contents of the Red Book are ostensibly a state secret, leaks to the Turkish press indicate Ankara is losing patience with Israel and wants to send a message.

Precisely: WITH the Armenians.

An Israeli to a friend with whom he’s fallen out says: “Lech, tchapes et hachaverim shelcha (Go look for your friends)”. Turkey is no longer our friend. Let’s find some new ones within Turkey, Armenia, Syria and Iran. “Self-determination for the oppressed Kurdish and Armenian peoples!” We could form an organization called the Non-Arabian/Turkic Nations’ Alliance (NANA), and have a mint leaf for our logo (”Nana” is mint in Hebrew). Turkey has its new friends, and we’ll have ours.

When it comes to Jewish/Arab history...

The (modern) Turks are not Arabs, though they are Moslems.

Islamofascists for now? Unfortunately Turks cannot rid themselves of their identity. They are what they are: Always been in since Turks converted to Islam.

Don’t kid yourself. There is no such “animal” as a respectable nice secular Turk. There are only Muslim Turks and the few remaining who lurk fearfully are Christian Turks: Protestant, Catholics and Orthodox.

Strange bedfellows you have there. Kemal Mustafa is the leading genocidaire of the 20th century. He and his turk dogs were responsible for the genocide of over 3 million Christians.

This country if it is to survive must wash its hands of kow towing to monsters like this and the regimes they create.
