In this context, we can classify yesterdays incident of the Syriac Catholic Church of the Arch-Baghdad as the first test for the released Synod statement, to check the reactions of the patriarchs, bishops and church officials on the challenges facing Christians in the Middle East, and was not an encouraging experience.
Many fear the fate of Christians in the East, as it turns to the terrorists for their attributes with the passage of time. After being marginalized politically (even in Lebanon, where Christians have been absent from political influence in the country), they have become minority, who is not heard nor received the necessary attention and then migrants As a result of the political and economic developments.
those who remained are oppressed, turned into targets, to end up yesterday to being hostages, despite of the presence of the (Christian) U.S. troops in Iraq.
The Vatican, condemned the actions of the militants, and demanded that the crisis would be solved quickly and peacefully noting that the situation of Christians in the East and practically in Iraq was the focus of the Synod held in the Vatican.
What happened in Iraq, can happen in Egypt or the occupied territories, or any country where Christians are a minority, seen as accessories to decorate the image of the host country to say that it has the values of openness in the (Arab, Muslims, Middle Eastern) societies.

This author, seems to really, really, like using, lots and lots, of commas.
The Muslim attack was to free “Muslim girls held hostage in Coptic monasteries” or some such nonsense.
How can the Christian majority in the US unite to defend oppressed Christians around the world without being called fascists, KKK? Our popular culture is imposed by the minority in the US to subjugate the majority. It can only happen if the majority discover that they are strangled and gagged by the politically correct organizations that prevent the majority from organizing. If OReilly get heckled by our liberal media just by saying Muslim terrorists? Did Joy Behar right an editorial against the kidnapping of the Christians in the Iraqi church? How many American Christians marched in the streets or sent protest to all the Arab embassies in Washington? Do our America Christian population have something similar to CAIR, or the ACLU? No organization will get us nothing but abuse.
Suppose you were trying to make your way through an article, allegedly written in English, only to find that improper punctuation and grammar has rendered it unreadable. Would that make you happy?
I again propose that we exchange all Muslims living in Western nations for all Christians living in Muslim nations. About the only long term solution that will end such terrorism and persecution. (And also, the poor, persecuted Muslims in America could be free of the terrible Islamophobia in the US.)
Is it clear now that the dirty beard savages can’t ever be civilized? They should be banned from all civilized countries.
As it should.
What should also make you angry is that there are already multiple threads on this event in the forum and some barely literate blog pimp is wasting valuable bandwidth by posting nearly incomprensible gibberish.
Are they referring to the same recent synod that called for Israel to end its occupation of “Arab lands,” noting that all of what we define currently as Israel is “Arab land.”
Which added that: “The Holy Scriptures cannot be used to justify the return of Jews to Israel and the displacement of the Palestinians, to justify the occupation by Israel of Palestinian lands,”
This should be an answer to anyone who believes Islam hates us because we support Israel. That everything would be nice and peaceful if we were “even handed” or anti Israel.
The lesson here is that they hate and want to kill Christians and Jews who support Israel.
And that they hate and want to kill Christian and Jews who don’t support Israel.
They hate us either way- might as well support Israel.
Too bad the lesson will be lost on most- including the Vatican.
Ladybird has been cited everywhere from Hot Air to Time Magazine.
She’s an Iraqi and English is her third or so language, so her grammar isn’t perfect.
It’s good to get the Iraqi perceptive about the attack.
There are such things as “Spell and Grammar Check”. I do appreciate her perspective but when something is written this poorly it detracts from her message.
Why do you say that a synod highly critical of Islam was trying to curry favor with Islam by also criticizing Jews? Israel uses false biblical pretext to force Christians from their ancestral lands.
Really?
Site- WITH PROOF- that ever happening.
Such accusation is an absolute lie.

Many say this is simple conquest like cowboys vs. Indians. However, the Catholic, East Orthodox, and traditional Protestant interpretation of scripture provides no special justification for this conquest. The Abrahamic blessings can be claimed only by those who remain faithful by following the Messiah.
You wrote the same garbage, this time asking me to read “a book”.
I will repeat:
Cite- WITH PROOF- that ever happening.
Such accusation is an absolute lie.
Cite what? Reference to mainstream reality is not an accusation. Are you disputing that Palestinian land holders were dispossessed or that some Palestinians are Christian? To learn about these things you might start by reading the wiki entry on Israel or any other mainstream source of information.
You then conclude:
They hate us either way- might as well support Israel. Too bad the lesson will be lost on most- including the Vatican.
The synod was put on by Middle Eastern Christians, including Palestinians. Many Westerners support Israel for geopolitical reasons, but why should you expect Palestinian Christians to support their own displacement?
