The phrase "don't ask, don't tell" was created by the late Charles Moskos, a sociologist who specialized in military affairs. It was his proposal for dealing with the issue. However, Congress didn't go along with his idea. The law as written is stronger than that. Unfortunately, the phrase caught on, even though it is not the correct description of the situation.

I really believe that this is more of a tempest in a teapot than anything else. Do some talking to military folks - most don’t give a darn about orientation, but how someone performs in battle. And what so many do not seem to understand is, just like heterosexuals, gays are not attracted to everyone of the same sex.

So, it seems that Barney Frank’s former homosexual “spouse” who was a Fannie Mae executive, is now a third rate loan salesman and gay pron star.
