The sad truth is that a majority of Illinois voters will only vote for the major political party candidates. I really want to be profoundly wrong about this and really see Mike Labno win the ‘10 Illinois U.S. Senate seat race, but I know that I’m correct about this. Throughout the entire U.S., the majority of voters only vote for major political party candidates, and you don’t have to take my word for it.
I voted for Labno already....and already have the “your Labno vote was a vote for Gianoulious” scars to prove it.
As long as we keep voting for the “lesser of two evils”, we’re going to continue down this path to our own country’s destruction.
I’m not disagreeing with you, but talking to me about this is just “singing to the choir”. You need to, directly, say these things to the majority of voters, who will never vote for anyone other than those running from within the two major political parties, each and every time there’s a election. IMHO, it’s very frustrating whenever the best candidates for certain political offices are not from the major political parties, because the majority of voters will refuse to vote for them, every time.
I agree, and just FYI...I spent the entire morning doing just that to a group of 8 conservative women who were just “horrified” that I would just “throw my vote away”. It’s maddening as hell.
