For a president under siege, maybe this could help.
In an episode of “Mythbusters” on the Discovery Channel to be shown on Dec. 8, President Obama will help determine whether the Greek scientist Archimedes really set fire to an invading Roman fleet using only mirrors and the reflected rays of the sun.
Legend has it that during the Siege of Syracuse, circa 214 B.C., Archimedes destroyed the enemy ships with fire, the result of a “heat ray” involving a series of mirrors set up on the coast. But the question has long remained: Did it really happen that way?
“Mythbusters” has already tried to test this myth. In 2006, with the help of some students from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the show declared the myth “busted” because it took far too long for any reflected light to ignite a fire on a distant ship.
But apparently, Mr. Obama wants them to try again.
“Did Greek scientist and polymath Archimedes set fire to an invading Roman fleet using only mirrors and the reflected rays of the sun?” a press release for the show asks. “Will Adam and Jamie be able to pull this off, or will they have to report back to the president that they failed?”

After 2200 years of Archimedes driving the death ray into the ditch you can’t expect Obama to get it working in 22 months.
This has to be a joke. Obama, the great, is a myth, and has been busted.

Thanks for the info on the show’s airing. I’ll make it a point to NOT watch the night it’s aired. My mother might call me. Or maybe even my dad. Or my eldest brother. The rest of us are waiting for calls from folks who are actually alive.

I think it will be bad for Mythbusters to play party to a Roman Emperor idea, especially with Obama who is using a ploy based upon his astrological sign of Leo which is a house of the Sun.
I am taking faith that the producers of the series can see right through this, besides by december Obama may not even be in office.

I remember, back just before the 2008 election, "Men's Health" magazine decided to put Obambi's picture on the cover. I cancelled my subscription the day it arrived in the mail. The reason I gave - I would not support a magazine that supported socialists. They refunded the remainder of my subscription.
He did it to Iron Chef as well. Pissed me off the way those chefs sucked up to Michells and her sewer garden.
