All money rightfully belongs to the government.

Soon your employer will be required to wire your paycheck directly to Washington, where the Department of Just Compensation will decide what tiny fraction of it they can afford to let you have.

Okaaay. So my copay to walk into the company clinic is fifteen bucks to get a note from a P.A. to tell me it's okay to buy a 1.50 bottle of aspirin, not to mention the three hours I waste doing it. Yeah, I'll be right on that.

This should help streamline the doctor’s practice and make him more efficient.

How or does this affect people who don’t have insurance?

They’re trying to kill this by killing us with so much paperwork that we stop using the accounts or we cut our amount way down.

Great ... just a $40 copay for a $1.89 bottle of aspirin. And the sheeple wonder why the cost of medical care is so high. (Don’t forget to save your receipt for $1.89 so that you can prove it should be applied to your FSA. (Unless line 37 is more than the lesser of 0.6 times line 36 or one half the difference of line 34 minus line 35, except on Tuesday.)

Lamp posts, I say.

My health savings plan will only pay for these things if I buy them at Walgreen's. I don't shop there, it's on the far side of town.

yah...the accounts are going to be capped at $2500 too. That’t a defacto tax increase on anyone who maxed out their account this year, because those dollars are “pre-tax”.

This really sux, and is another feature of Obamacare that makes him a bold-faced liar.

I saw this coming and cancelled my plan after last year. Didn’t know if obama would change rules midyear, so I couldn’t take the chance.

The new rules make it official. I will not re-enroll ever again.

“I get so upset about this”

Same here. We don’t need such complexity in our lives. We need a simple, small government, with little or no Political involvement of the people. Just good representation. It’s really NOT that much to ask for.

Come on, new rules every week are making life better.

They hate the free market and do all they can to insure its failure. Then their capon media spins the story to make it seem like liberty is harmful to your health.

Mmmmmm, more government.

I don’t have enough bad words to say about Obama and his crowd. The HSA was the best thing going (thank you, President Bush!) and now this miserable shower of f***wits have killed it in their zeal for Communist healthcare.

I can’t wait for November.

Ronald Reagan staed this Hi I am from the Government and I am here to help. The most feared words in America. The government striving to help only makes more costly and ineffective. Thanks Obummer my health savings account will be wiped away just in medical visits for over the counter medications. obummercare - the way to kill America is excessive governmental regulation (government control)

The wording in the article is deceptive and misleading.

The change applies to Health Care Flexible Spending Accounts, offered as part of the benefits package by many employers. FSAs operate on a use-it-or-lose-it proposition; whatever you don't spend at the end of the tax year is forfeited.

However, the article tags Health Savings Accounts, special tax-advantaged savings accounts that must be used in conjunction with High Deductible Health Plans, or HDHPs. You do not have to work for an employer that offers an HSA/HDHP combination. You can buy your own HDHP insurance plan (essentially catastrophic insurance) and open an HSA at any financial institution that offers HSAs.

I do know the new regulations affect Health Care FSAs offered through employers, but I do not know if they affect HSAs attached to HDHPs. And don't get me started on hybrid plans offered by some employers that include HRAs.
