Freeper Rolling_Stone posted a month ago that he had already paid off $100 on our original bet because no long form had been posted. I’m certain you will admit that the original bet was made about six months ago.

This is pure BS I never said any such thing. I know when the bet was made and it had no end date on it, only a beginning date.

Go collect some more cans to pay off.

Setting aside all the recent excitement that has kept this fabulous thread rolling past 1000, there's a new tidbit on its original subject. WND, of all place, is reporting the following on Lakin's new counsel:

He confirmed to WND that there will be new directions for the defense, but could not elaborate.

"All I can really say is the case is going to be handled differently from here on out," he said.

He said "all possible courses of action" will be reviewed within the military justice system.

Puckett confirmed that the judge in the case, Denise Lind, "rendered the proper legal ruling" regarding access to Obama’s birth and eligibility evidence.

"She was right on the facts and right on the law," he told WND.

He hinted about his plan of defense.

"All those issues concerning the president’s eligibility to hold office are completely irrelevant as to whether Lt. Col. Lakin was issued lawful orders and whether he obeyed them," he said.

Apologize if this has already been posted, but I can't wade through everything here. I am pleased, however, that LTC Lakin now appears to have competent representation that will focus on Lakin's best interests at this point.

No. I just don’t feel it necessary to respond to EVERY stupid post made by a hate-filled pansy.

Interesting words from someone painting himself as hero and the rest of us as full of hate speech. That's just what every RAT=liberals are using when losing in the arena of debates, HATE-speech, WOW!

Then you have the gall as a "man"(?) running crying to the Admin Moderator for help when the temperature in the "Kitchen" gets a little tooooo hot for you, "war-hero"(?). In my former country, which you have constantly denigrated as cowards (as well as other FRiends who are challenging your "opinions"), we called those persons Quislings or Hippo=collaborators!!

So where is the the hateful pansy in the questions put in post 1216???

But not the courts. I have no desire to give that power to 9 unelected, serving for life judges.

Quite a debased mind, WOW!

So when every speeders get a ticket for that, Congress has to dole out the sentences for these offenses, NOT the court!!

Or if a burglar is caught in the action of empty your house and steels your three horses, it's up to Congress to make the decision of penalty, NOT the court!!!

They must have had "Tap-Dancing" lessons when you went to boot camp!!!

Bets have (unspoken) expiration dates?

Luckily and to your credit, you did include a scanned image of a tracking number for the mailing receipt that can be traced to find out exactly what document was sent to you. I already have emailed the DOH to see if they will let me know what they sent.

Wasn't me. I was born in Ohio where you don't have to jump through hoops to get a BC because of Warren G Harding. (who was born in Ohio and could prove it)

That's not a mailing receipt. It's a receipt for the document itself. And if you could read, you'd see it states "Date of event 08 07 69. Which is her DOB and indicates they sent a BIRTH CERTIFICATE.

What you left out from WND:

Officials with the United States Patriots Union earlier told WND the officer's arguments needed to go beyond the quest for the president's original birth certificate because that would reveal only some of the evidence needed.

The group, which says it linked Lakin up with Puckett, contends the unveiling of the president's birth certificate would prove one of two things: he was a dual citizen or there has been "the greatest fraud ever perpetrated on the American people."

"A birth certificate would only prove one of two things – 1) Barack Hussein Obama (Sr) is his bloodline birth father and Barack Jr. was thereby a 'dual citizen' rather than natural born citizen at birth. In this case, Obama fails constitutional requirements," a statement prepared by the organization said.

Or, in the second case, "Barack Hussein Obama (Sr) is NOT his stated birth father on the birth records, in which case Obama has committed the greatest fraud ever perpetrated on the American people."

Or he doesn't have have a long form BC from Hawaii that states he was born in a Hawaiian hospital.

And

They are right as they are acquiescing the point for now to the court because of its intransigence. The birth certificate may be important to help establish to who and where Obama was born, but it doesn't end it...that Obama is not a natural born citizen from what we know publicly. It's time to purely defend Lakin on Obama's lack of NBC status to hold presidential office.

Kinda sounds like Lt. Col. Lakin has been rescued from the birther cult and is currently being deprogrammed.

I wish him all the best. Hopefully, some sort of satisfactory settlement can be reached that will salvage what's left of his career.

(BTW...thanks for the HTML in your post...much more readable.)

Intransigence?

Now that Lakin finally has competent representation, said representation has noted what we have been saying from the beginning—Lind's ruling was both inevitable and legally correct. And the United States Patriot Union can say whatever it wants. What Lakin’s representation says is what matters, and the quotes offered, if correct, seem pretty definitive.

But if this fig leaf helps prevent you from having to admit you were incorrect in your summation of the legal issues involved, which seems to be your primary motivation at this point, be my guest. For myself, as I have always said, if one of these issues goes against my estimation, I will be more than happy to admit I was wrong. That is the hallmark of an honest argument.

I agree. I think Lakin finally has representation that will do what it can to salvage his personal situation, which is as it should be.

___

Yes, I'm sure it was left out because the U.S. Patriots Union does not speak for Lakin's defense; the quotes from Puckett make that clear:

'"All those issues concerning the president's eligibility to hold office are completely irrelevant as to whether Lt. Col. Lakin was issued lawful orders and whether he obeyed them," he said.'

Got that? The Lakin defense team is no longer offering a birther defense, and is in fact disavowing it.

Honesty is posting the relevant parts of the WND story which you left out. I suppose you expect Lakin to admit he was wrong and throw himself on the mercy of the court since Puckett took over his defense. It was the United States Patriots Union who referred Puckett to LTC Lakin and they did not have that in mind. LTC Lakin after two years of questioning about Obama’s lack of eligibility to hold presidential office, he is unlikely to be throwing in the towel.

For those not familiar with your history, I once linked my family website with my FR home page. You became fascinated by my wife, and have since regularly posted insulting comments about her.

When you do that, I report it to the Admin Mod, and to date the Admin Mod has agreed with me every time & removed your posts.

Notice I have never complained about any post involving debate or reason, or insults to me - ONLY insults to my wife. I find that sort of behavior despicable. Apparently, you and some of your birther buddies do not - but the Admin Mod agrees with me, it seems, that someone's family is not fair game on FreeRepublic.

THAT is why I say you need to vent your hate and anger. You don't DO anything. You don't force your own court case. And calling people homosexuals or attacking their family doesn't bring anyone over to your side...it is just hatred and anger venting.

Now, as for your attempt at argument:

I have no desire to give 9 unelected judges, serving for life, control over who is President. That would hand the Supreme Court near total power, and it has far too much already. I favor most steps to limit the Supreme Court's power, because I believe the Declaration of Independence was correct:

"...Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed..."

The Supreme Court, unlike Congress and the President, are not subject to recall by the governed.

However, when you respond, "So when every speeders get a ticket for that, Congress has to dole out the sentences for these offenses, NOT the court!!", you jump deep into stupidity.

Control over who is President is quite different from a speeding ticket. The courts DO have a legitimate role - but getting to decide who is President is not one of them. And if you haven't noticed, the Supreme Court has NOT jumped at the chance to take on that role. They got involved in 2000 because the Florida Supreme Court jumped in, and the US Supreme Court said the Florida Court was wrong to do so.

You, danamco, are stupid. Not your wife or family, for I haven't met them and they may be wonderful people, but YOU are stupid if you cannot see the difference between a speeding ticket and determining the Presidency. You also might want to break out a copy of the Constitution and find out who DOES have a role in conflicts involving Presidential elections.

"Or if a burglar is caught in the action of empty [sic] your house and steels [sic] your three horses..."

Sorry, but the horses are still here, and I still have a life. You need one. You bring shame on birthers who are good people (BDZ comes to mind) with your bitterness.

Here are three more Zots from there.

Bob Ross

ASK Esq

Majority Will

About 90% of the thread is made up of FR zots. It is Troll central.

I would hate for Danae’s certificate to turn out to be just another Obama’s Mombassa, Kenya “birth certificate.”

It won't. I believe Danae to be 100% on the level. Her long form is genuine and any objective research will confirm that as so.
