Accenting again the campaign focus she has placed on veterans' affairs, Sen. Barbara Boxer on Sunday formally opened a veterans' center at Pasadena City College and was later brought to tears by a forceful defense of her record by Sen. Daniel Inouye of Hawaii, a highly decorated member of Congress.
Inouye joined Boxer for her formal endorsement by the political action committee of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, whose California chairman also praised Boxer's work on behalf of veterans.

And once again the VFW PAC will get ANOTHER nasty phone call from me.
WTF is right!
After that ridiculous exchange with the General for calling her “Ma’am” instead of “Senator”, these vets should have shown her the door.
When Kerry spoke to some national vet organaization in 2004, only two vets stood up and turned their back to him.
They all should have.
Democrats are the enemy. Period.
I don’t know how he could let down all those he served with by endorsing this clown.
I swear, Hawaii voters are stupid. Both senators are so owned by the unions it is pathetic. Yet, they keep sending the same pair back every 6 years.
Is it any wonder he would endorse Sen Ma'am Box-o-rocks? Kooks of a feather and all that.
Service in the military doesn't automatically make someone a conservative. There is about the same proportion of liberal parasites and jerks in the VFW as in the general populace. You just have to look at Kerry and Gore to see what some ex-military are like.
OMG!! She HATES the MILITARY!!! What a bunch of SAPS these VFW people are!!
Hope they like their little new center...PAID FOR BY ALL OF US, I’m sure....when their country is being destroyed and their stste is gone!!
The guys I know who really did stuff don't talk much about it. I figure that lib women must really get turned on by guilt, LOL. He sponges off a rich one.
Now I have seen everything! Why don’t they endorse Bin Laden while they’re at it?
After Braley was elected, I saw that he then had the damnable nerve to send postcards cards to troops from a local Legion (or maybe it was VFW) post. Pissed on their mission and then sent them a card, yet the local 'rats had no problem with it.
In 1975, when I was discharged, a friend took me to my hometown VFW. I was considering joining. The first people I saw at the bar were two brothers. I knew that neither had ever served. They were ‘associate members’ or something and had both been classified 4-F by the local draft board though both were healthier than I was. Coinicidently, their mother was the head of the local draft board. I never set foot in a VFW again.
YGTBSM! “M’am” Boxer? I can think of 99 Senators who better to endorse. Better yet, be above politics.
Reckon it goes to show that VFW really does stand for “Very Few Workers”. And I say this as a Life Member of the VFW and MOC.
Barbara Boxer provided a letter that helped Code Pink deliver $600,000 in cash and humanitarian aid to “the other side” in Fallujah in late 2004.
I can’t think of a worse choice than Boxer. WTF are they thinking????
Cynical use of veterans as ‘props’ - have they no shame?
Senator Barbara Boxer: "Don't Call Me Ma'am" - General Michael Walsh
So, the VFW is in bed with “Call me SENATOR” Boxer.(BARF!) OK, I’m done with them.
I am a current member of the VFW. I will be a current member through the end of the year.
But I will not renew - the organization is politically bankrupt. Boxer’s attitude toward the services sucks.
