Administrations latest failed attempt to silence Mark Levin and remove him from the airways?
Posted on 10/10/2010 2:19:36 PM PDT by eplenista
Has anyone found out How the administration failed on 10/04/10 yet again to silence the Great One?
On the evening of the 4th Mark commented that the administration had tried and failed. It was a quick comment with no explanation. Anyone know any more on this?
Thanks.
See you Nov. 2nd! -e.

They shifted the schedule around. They added a financial show, http://raylucia.com/ . from 6 to 9PM. Then they put the two sections of Dennis Miller together from midnight to 3am and moved Michael Savage from 3 hours starting at 1am to 2 hours starting at 3am. Not a good move in a city starved for decent talk radio in the evening.
Levin, who was broadcast on tape delay as are Miller and Savage , is the odd man out.
Maybe a little email bomb and write in campaign can convince them they made a mistake.

Michael Savage also was kicked off here in Oregon. The government does not like the truth being heard. We live in very dangerous times when people are being marginalized and destroyed and silenced because they speak the truth.
How dare the government censor our airwaves when they allow all sorts of pornographic stuff 24/7 for kids to be exposed to. They allow that, but shut down someone who criticizes their gods, like global warming, Gaia, homosexuals, bambi, Keynes, and Marx. They want NO Truth and light on their sordid plans.

Mark Levin knows the Constitution well and is educating his audience on how this administration is trying to make it obsolete. He is probably near the top on their enemies list. He is also involved in legal work to defend it.

These are the emails I have sent and the reply from NTP in Philadelphia. I thought I was pretty snotty, but the guy got back to me on the first one within 24 hr so that says something. I am also giving him a little time to get me a corp contact and plan to do a little more on this next week when I have time... I mentor a group with a lot of young activists and they love to pounce on this kind of stuff - and they love Mark Levin - but I had some reservations about that - the pouncing stuff - because Levin hasn't said anything about this... I sort of think he is very private and maybe doesn't want the noise... and I am sure if there was any kind of free speech issue involved he would be out there front and center with it.... so I just decided to wait a while to see what develops and what he says... oh, and I read someone on Mark's fb page say he had been changed to late late night in Vegas and she couldn't listen anymore... but I am not sure that is a bad thing... being on really late in Vegas... the philly and vegas changes both are recent... that caused me concern, too - he's only recently gotten on Barack's radar bigtime... ***************************************************** Tuesday, October 5, 2010 9:51 PM From: View contact details To: "WNTP Listener Contact" What specific person in "corporate" made this decision? Box three may be needed soon. People, get ready.

“Maybe a little email bomb and write in campaign can convince them they made a mistake.”
Bombarding the station with emails, phone calls and letters does indeed work. So does contacting the sponsors. One of the stations here in the DC area removed a favorite conservative host and really heard about it. Before long he was back on the air. WNTP needs to get the message that it’s not a good idea to upset the Levinites.

You can contact them on their website too. I just sent them a note expressing my displeasure with the changes. Frankly, the station is the “B” station when it comes to talk radio in Philly. While the competition runs Beck, Rush and Hannity from 9am to 6pm, WNTP counters with Mike Gallagher, Dennis Prager and Michael Medved. They used to run Laura Ingraham at 9am and delay Gallagher till 3am. Then one day that changed out of the blue. Personally I liked the change. I have soured on Ingraham and kind of like Mike.

“Mark Levin knows the Constitution well and is educating his audience on how this administration is trying to make it obsolete.”
That’s why I was a little surprised by how cryptic he was regarding the attempt to get him off the air. Obviously he was able to handle the situation successfully. These people should know by now that they take on Mark Levin at their own peril.

The liberals always tell us that, if we don’t like the vulgarity, sexualization, etc. of TV and movies, that we should just turn it off, but that any censorship is against their 1st amendment rights.
Why doesn’t that reasoning apply to talk radio then? I get it that the liberals don’t like what Rush, Levin, Hannity et. al. have to say, but, why then can’t they accept the concept that they should change the station if they don’t like it? Why do they think that censorship and shutting down radio stations and programs is OK when it comes to talk radio?????

Thanks, curth. I definitely will send them an email. They need to know that this is not acceptable.
Also appreciation for the info regarding Mike Gallagher. I’ve been a fan for years, but it’s so hard to find him at a reasonable hour.

i think levin would be great at 9 am... would his listeners be able to make this happen?
To: eplenista
Mark is on a par with Rush. Certainly top tier. Any attempt to silence him needs to be met with protests. sd

Hope we can do it through the ballot box but the stupidity of the masses is troubling. The public educations system and media have had too many decades of unlimited power.
To: curth
They ... moved Michael Savage from 3 hours starting at 1am to 2 hours starting at 3am. Considering Savage usually flakes out on his third hour, I'm not surprised.

I have heqard Levin himself talk about the jerks on the FAA, and an appointee of this fakakta administraition in particular, anticipating that they will definitely make an effort to silence him.
That was well before the colloquy I heard on his show this week. The comments in *9 and 22 are most valid.
