It's looking like all out war against Fox News.
Just days after the president slammed the cable news network, declaring it "destructive" to America's long-term growth, the feds are suing Fox News for allegedly retaliating against a reporter who says she was discriminated against because of her age and gender.
It's the latest in increasingly hostile rhetoric against Fox News, not only from Obama but from Rahm Emanuel and the president's former communications director.
According to the lawsuit, filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission on Thursday, Catherine Herridge, a national correspondent who covers homeland security complained about discriminatory practices in the network starting in 2006.
Herridge, now 46, claimed "female and black correspondents were given less desirable shifts" in the network and that oftentimes assignments (including an anchor job) were denied or "taken away from her" due to her sex and age.
In 2008, the network said it found no evidence of bias, and when her contract came up for renewal, it included language barring her from making more discrimination complaints, according to the lawsuit.
Herridge, who joined Fox News in 1996 as a London correspondent, refused to sign the contract.
The lawsuit says the language in the contract was retaliatory.

Seconded.
LOL!
“She needs to bleach her hair blonde it seems that all the women on there are blonde’s..”
...And have the exact same hairdo, same length, and parted the same way.
I can’t tell one bleached blond from the other...not that I would want to. They are all so dull looking and in the brain too if they have one that is.
At least Herridge looks like Herridge. . She is quite attractive.
Greta and her success at Fox News rebuts the allegations or sex and age discrimination.
Another garbage claim.
Catherine could add some warmth to her style of reporting. She knows her business...she just needs to relax and be approachable in her style.
I wonder who is taking care of this sick child.
Precisely ... this thin skinned little pr**k may well regret this decision. FOX could easily delve into areas in this President's background and come up with some very embarrassing nuggets of information ... enough to destroy this interlopers presidency.
In a sane society when you have an employee who makes a complaint that is found to be without merit, and disruptive to morale, you would have a right to insist the person "cease and desist" from future frivolous claims as a condition of employment. When did employers lose the right to insist their employees not be disruptive to their operations?
It’s not because of her sex or age.
You think all THAT is gorgeous? Not so much. She might be if she didn’t have that stupid haircut. It’s more the liberal-looking haircut that pisses me off about her, but she really isn’t very telegenic.
Yeah, but Greta is actually a good reporter who thinks up her own questions and already had an audience which she brought with her when she came over. But let her ratings drop, and she’d be in the same boat. Face it Catherine, whats-his-name’s applause-o-meter goes flatline when you come on the screen. The big sleep. Toes up. I figured she must have had something on them, I don’t know why else they would have kept the old bat on all these years.
If they want to riot I say bring them on.
No. Audrey Hepburn could pull that hairdo off. This woman can’t - her head is too big or too old or her features are too coarse or SOMETHING, but it does not look good. From the first time I saw it I thought, I hate it when middle aged women who aren’t very attractive wear their hair like that.
Martha MacCallum is yummy.
Look at that - it’s like she cut it herself, badly.
I’m with you. I had nothing but respect for her until now.
You owe me a keyboard! ROFL
