I wish her well. I hope, in the end, she latches on to another conservative who isn't as polarizing and tells her people to get behind that candidate and does it early.

She's been through the media cuisinart and a lot of non-political people now hate her without understanding why because the media dumps on her so shamelessly and relentlessly that they feel there *has* to be a reason to hate her or believe she's stupid, even when she has done nothing to deserve it.

The power of Palin and the Tea Parties has been demonstrated in victory after improbably victory. Let her play kingmaker rather than candidate and I expect Republicans will attract more voters to win in 2012 without as much media venom.

She deserves a great deal of thanks for all she has done so far but it will be easier to get somebody like Jim DeMint or Paul Ryan across the finish line than it will to get her elected.

DeMint and Ryan are great, but they just aren’t exciting to anyone except conservatives, and even then, they mainly only excite the “anybody but Palin” conservatives very much.

Palin, as you say, is polarizing. That cuts both ways however. Those who “get” her, will be more passionate about her candidacy than anyone she could possibly endorse. Those who don’t “get” her, well, they mostly wouldn’t vote for any Republican candidate anyway. There’s not much room for sitting on the fence when it comes to Sarah, and I for one am willing to stake the farm that the American people will come down on the right side of the fence in this scenario.

Obama is also polarizing, and at this point, I think more polarizing than Palin will ever be. Will the media smears against Palin be enough to make people forget their massive anger at Obama? I really doubt it. If it turns out that it is, then maybe America deserves another four years wandering in the wilderness.

Let her play kingmaker rather than candidate

Don't miss the forest for the trees, my friend. Sarah Palin has been on a trajectory that leads straight to the White House since she first stepped foot on the national stage.

She's our star quarterback, and the Super Bowl is coming in two years. It would be nuts for us to put anyone but our very best on the field, on that day.

Sarah will be the one.

very well put and I think right on the money.

Although I am sad to say it. I wish her the best but she is doing far more now than anyone else could. She needs to step back and support someone else so we can win and put an end to this nightmare. She is not the only conservative out there.

And the baggage that she has, deserved or not, will be hard to get rid of.

Where is your honor and courage ?

We need to do what is right. Sarah deserves better. If she is the best candidate.. vote for her and let the chips fall where they may.
