Lisa Murkowski supporters are urging people to come out tonight for what’s being called a “campaign kick off,” although her campaign manager isn’t ready to say that she’s decided to run.
Bonnie Jack, who was a Murkowski campaign elections observer for the count of absentee votes, sent out an email this morning. “Join us at the Kick-off of Senator Lisa's campaign -- with a theme of "write in her name in and fill in the oval."
"Denai'na Convention Center, third floor and hopefully out on the sunny deck, 5 pm. Bring your family including children, friends and business associates. We plan to make history!”
Jack confirmed to me that she sent the email, and indicated that obviously the conclusion to be drawn from it is that Murkowski is running.

But since she won't win anyway, the only thing she'll do is reduce Miller's votes whether her voters spell it Mercowski, Murkowski or just Lisa (unless she starts peeling off McAdams' votes like Crist is fighting with the Democrat in Florida now).
I need somebody with knowledge of Alaska politics. How far right is the state. If little Lisa takes 17% (the most any primary loser wright in candidate has ever taken in the Senate) could she throw the election?

I like Karl’s theory. She might split the anti-Miller vote.

All-righty then. I’ll have his page open and my credit card in my hand. By 9:15 I want to see that Miller server melt. Little Miss Special should make the connection then. What IS it with these sore losers?

I postulate that her write-in campaign will actually hurt the Democrat McAdams more than Miller, and possibly help Miller. Murkowski was well liked by many Alaska Democrats, and her name recognition is high where as almost no one has heard of McAdams. Plus her running this write-in stunt will energize Alaska Conservatives to get out to vote for Miller. McAdams only chance was to get the disgruntled Murkowski supporters to vote for him, with her in the race he is sunk.

I have so had it with these entrenched RINOs that feel they are entitled to govern and just can not accept the will of the people. I will be sending Miller a donation tonight.
That gives me an idea. Maybe we should start referring to constipation — s*it that needs to go, but just refuses to move out — as “Murkowski.”
