Michelle Obama thinks being Americas First Lady is hell, Carla Bruni reveals today in a wildly indiscreet new book.
Miss Bruni reveals that Mrs Obama replied when asked about her position as the U.S. presidents wife: Dont ask! Its hell. I cant stand it!
Details of the private conversation, which took place at the White House during an official visit by Nicolas Sarkozy last March, emerged in Carla And The Ambitious, a book written in collaboration with Miss Bruni.

Michelle will never be a stick-thin woman. It’s in her genes. Have you ever seen her brother? He looks like a linebacker. They obviously are cut from the same cloth. You can tell with her arms that she works out like a fiend and would probably like to be thinner, but it just isn’t in the cards unless she decides to starve herself, which isn’t an option for her because, like most people, she likes to eat food. She’s lucky that she is tall. Another thing: The Spanish Princess Letizia that Michelle gets compared to is way too thin and appears anorexic. She does not look healthy at all and her top looks like silicone. At least you can say that Michelle doesn’t have an eating disorder and appears healthy.
Hahaha ...
i’ll never forget when it was revealed she donned a cardigan to meet the Queen
Roslyn Carter was a simple, humble woman, but I thought she was pretty. She was also very poised, kindly and gracious. Her wardrobe and spending habits were very modest. Nancy Reagan had/has beautiful taste and was an amazing supporter of her husband and a very classy, refined hostess for diplomats at state dinners and receptions. She brought back Jackie’s glamour and pizzazz. Jackie was gorgeous, demure, dignified, stylish, a fine mother and a superb first lady. Laura Bush was equally exceptional, or possibly even superior to Jackie. Mamie, Pat, Betty, Barbara and Ladybird were stalwart supporters of their husbands, some lovelier and better dressed than others, but all were gracious, smart, well-mannered, strong women who had a beneficial influence on the culture and the country.
Hillary was an absolute witch and Manchelle is a freak from a horror show.
ROFL!!!!
She wore a dress to a very somber occasion that looked like something you’d wear to a backyard BBQ or outdoor bar/cocktail party, or a community outdoor summer dance at a city park or garden or graduation party. The dress had an orange background with a big, splashy, red, green and black print on it. It had a puffy, full skirt with a fitted, plunging, v-neck bodice. It was sleeveless, with halter-top type straps rising from the bodice that tied or buttoned behind the neck. Picture it. Got it?
The occasion: the official bestowal of a posthumous Congressional Medal of Honor on a family for their son killed in the Middle East.
Wow, NICE SHOES (on Princess Letizia, that is)!
Oh, I forgot. She was also wearing, on each arm, a couple sets of metal bangle bracelets, jangling.
You have to wonder if this was an intentional insult to the family or if her taste is just that bad and she’s just that ignorant. She should have been wearing a summer-weight suit or a short-sleeved linen or silk sheath in a subdued color, pearls and low heels.
I’ve read that Manchelle’s an alky. That’s not healthy. zero smokes. That’s not healthy.
Her war on obesity is about black kids being overweight, not all kids and not all Americans. She wants to control restaurant menus and restaurant food preparation rather than change bad eating habits through education.
I hope she does fight weight. It’ll save the taxpayers some money on less lobster and other goodies we pay for her to stuff her ugly face with.
i remember that dress very well
i have yet to see her in anything that resembles tasteful attire. I certainly agree with you on what she should have worn, too, but i’ve finally come to conclusion that she’d never dress that way just in case she would come across as “whitey”. her clothing just always comes across as ill-fitting, odd-looking (bows,gaps,ties,etc...) or just plain ugly.
Who says Laura and Michelle disagree?
Next time you listen to her, I think its with the letter “S”. Maybe its a ghetto thing.
No, I am a small business owner who has a target on their back courtsey of Obama.
I just think these kiss and tell books are unnecessary. All you have to do is argue the evidence on their policies. Voila! No more Obamas.
uuuhhh....we all sort of knew.....
Speaking of dressing her, I and my friends (none of whom are “experts”) could make her beautiful by steering her towards clothes that flatter her rather than maximize her flaws. However, ugly seeps through when it’s deep inside.
I think that MO opened herself up to commentary when she began lecturing the rest of the country about their diet/obesity while she herself does not adhere to her own advice. Her style reflects almost a “finger in the eye” of dignity, decorum, and elegance. I think we have a right to expect that much of the First Lady. It’s the hypocrisy of it all.
Mooch elle would have garnered much more sympathy from the oprah crowd if she had taken the tack that she just can’t help eating. She is a victim you know. All those cakes just keep jumping up at her. The lobsters keep calling from the deep. There is no safe buffet table.
