GAINESVILLE - FBI agents visited today with a minister of a small Florida church that plans to burn the Quran on Sept. 11, as public safety became a paramount concern and President Barack Obama added his voice to the chorus of opposition. Elsewhere, hundreds of angry Afghans burned an American flag and chanted "Death to the Christians" to protest the planned burning of Islam's holiest text. Obama urged the Rev. Terry Jones to "listen to those better angels" and call off his plan.(continued)

I’m not exactly sure how the sheriff’s department or the city can bill this lunatic minister for extra security. It’s not like they’re marching in the street or on public property. Using that theory, a city government could bill a funeral home for any extra security needed to hold a service for any soldier killed in Iraq or Afghanistan if the Westboro Church decided to demonstrate there.

It's interesting that just as the Ground Zero Mosque deal kind of died down then you get General Petraeus coming out with his comment on the Koran burning. Nobody would have noticed had he not done that.
