You aren’t afraid but........

This little demonstration has been so blown out of proportion by the teary eyed and quaking in their boots fearful, that we need to start supporting it, and evidently more like it.

Our news media, and Hollywood executives already admit that fear has made them avoid telling the truth about Muslims, we conservatives need to show American courage and confront that wave of cowardice before it becomes fully ingrained in our cultural expression as it relates to Mohammedanism.

I agree with the Pope. "Outrageous." "Grave." NOT the way Christians behave.

In my opinion, burning the quran will change something. It will show them that we ain’t gonna bow down and become sharia compliant.

There are actually US state/ local governments opening official meetings with muslim prayers.

I have had it with people sucking up to these pigs. Seriously, people are going to die whether or not we stick our thumbs in their eyes, so let’s stick our thumbs in their eyes. As far as I can tell, the only way a person can guarantee 100% that they will not be killed or put in danger by a muslim is to not be born.

I don’t fear angering them. They are already angry. I fear appeasing them, because they cannot be appeased, and they view weakness as an invitation to attack, which it is.

The Vatican office responsible for relations with Islam issued a stern statement saying every religion has the right to expect that its sacred books, places of worship and symbols will be respected and protected.

Waiting for the Vatican to issue a statement against the Islamic supremacist theocratic legal system in Saudi Arabia.

I'm still waiting.

See, this is why it's an issue. People turn a blind eye to Islam's intolerance.

Just because someone questions the wisdom of the book burning does not mean they are sucking up.

I think it is folly. I think it is a set up. These people are fringe and the media will use it to paint Christians in a bad light and give sympathy to the Muslims.

You think 50 or so people burning a book is going to show the Muslim world that we aren’t going to become Sharia compliant? You think that is going to happen when our media is going to spin this to make Christians look bad and Muslims look like the victims? You think that is going to happen when the administration is going to denounce this?

You are right, this book burning is going to change something but not what you think.

Does anyone expect muslims to respect and protect places of worship, sacred books, and symbols of other religions? If not, I don’t care what happens to their cult book.

A little reminder.

Vatican outrage over church siege (BBC News ^ | April 8 2002 | BBC )

The Vatican has issued a stern warning to Israel to respect religious sites in line with its international obligations, following a gun battle around Bethlehem's besieged Church of the Nativity....

This is an act of indescribable barbarity, a violation of every law of humanity and civilisation - Father David Jaeger, Franciscan spokesman

Israel says its troops are under orders not to fire at holy places and blamed Palestinian militants for a fire near the church, which is revered by Christians as the birthplace of Jesus Christ.

Several hundred Palestinian gunmen and civilians fleeing Israeli tanks have been holed up in the church complex for nearly a week, along with a group of monks and nuns...

There were accounts that the bibles were descrated too.

If it's good enough for Newsweak to say it about korans at Gitmo, I'll take the "reports" on this outrage to be as accurate.

Inciting people to the point of violence is something that is hard for me to support.

The Westboro nuts came and picketed our church one time on a Sunday morning with signs showing stick figures engaging in sodomy (they actually had the wrong church, but that is another story). Imagine our kids walking past these signs and the reactions of some of the parents. It came very close to violence. As it was, we could not control some of the parents who got in their face telling them to “go back to h*ll”.

The US media will do what it will do. They are Evil, just like the muslims. I do not watch them, because they already paint christians in a bad light and give sympathy to muslims.

50 or so people burning a book is going to show muslims that those 50 people ain’t gonna comply. I am quite sure that the burning will not show that Michael Bloomberg and Hillary Clinton won’t comply. Frankly, I’d be happy if every american burned a quran on 9/11 so that islam knows exactly where it stands in this country.

Whatever the book burnign brings, so be it. This is war, it was declared upon us by Islam, thus Islam is not and never will be welcome in my country. They are the enemy of my country and of its freedom, and may they get all that they deserve and more.

It may be encouraging some average Americans to oppose jihad, but I think it’s giving ammunition to other, more powerful Americans (well, those who claim to be Americans, such as our mysterious president) to put special laws in place to “protect” Muslims, and then we average Americans are going to be forbidden from fighting back in any way, even verbally. There is already a UN resolution that would do just that.

I support the burning of the koran. It is a wicked book of idealogical filth that is responsible for the murder of millions of people.

There is Biblical precedent for burning books that offend the One True God:

"Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together and burned them before all men and they counted the price of them and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver. So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed." Acts 19:19-20

Yes, it is going to see us adopt the UN/EU proposed laws prohibiting blasphemy against Islam.

Christians need not apply for such "protections from offense". AntiChristian sentiments are too well ingrained in academia, entertainment, and government.

Westboro is a family run cult largely employed as lawyers. If they can provoke a violent response, they can sue for “damages”.

I will tell you one thing for sure, they were the nastiest most vile people I have ever seen close up. They purposely targeted families with young kids.

“...the Vatican denounces the move as outrageous, grave move, or apostate worth excommunication in more straight words, which the Vatican may say the move is against Christian faith and its purity.”

Funny that we have never heard the Vatican complain about or denounce as “apostate” any of the outrageous things Muslims have done to offend and kill Christians. I guess it shows just whose side the Vatican is on. The Vatican, “for murdering Christians and burning bibles, against burning korans.”

MY $0.02 , I’m an Agnostic since age 18 and do not belong to any of the (religious?) Franchises.
Having studied most of the larger franchises all have one thing in common, Intolerance!
The Ten Commandants has merit with me but hypocrisy is so rampant in the franchises it’s pathetic.
I will assume that the majority here don’t give a ratsass what I feel and thats fine with me because I don’t give a Wizz! I will live a godly life, not worldly.

"Vatican: Burning Quran is outrageous, grave move"

Yep its a stupid move.

Its also protected by the First Amendment and last time I checked the Constitution is still the law of the land. (unless of course activist judges override it with unconstitutional rulings.)
