You don’t understand do you. AlQaida has all the recruits it can handle and then some. The Iranians take advantage of the situation as well.
And you think a book burning that does NOTHING to stop Islam but DOES inflame attacks is a good idea?
If you want to do something about Islam, then do something USEFUL. But I don’t want to see people killed over an idiot pastor that wants his 15 minutes.
I understand perfectly well. The people supporting this “church” are being played.
I'm being clear, you are avoiding your post calling for people to butt out that haven't served in Iraq or Afghanistan
"I never said that, nor implied that."
What do you call this?
To: TheThirdRuffian
Are you a soldier in the field of battle? Have you served in Iraq or Afghanistan?
Just curious as to where your 'bravery' comes from.

People will be attacked and killed by muslims regardless of what this preacher does or does not do to the book of satan, because muslims are insane, murderous barbarians.
You are going to see people killed by muslims in the name of allah, because people are too damn scared to stand up to them, may piss them off, and they might attack us. They are going to attack anyway.
We are at war, because Islam declared war on western civilization, and people die in wars. So, we either defeat them utterly, or we get defeated utterly by them. Take your pick, Ma’am. I’m not going out on my knees, I’ll say that right now.
The Roman church, which used to ruthlessly ferret out what it called anti-Christian heresy, has in recent years taken to making kissy-poo towards any religion, the idea seeming to be that it might be a staging point for eventual belief in Catholicism.
This has gone on long enough that some kind of empirical test should be possible — has the attitude shift succeeded in welcoming more former Muslims into the Roman church?
This panic and screaming in fear, with Americans wetting themselves in terror about what should be a relatively minor demonstration has changed my mind on the event, I now support it.
The sheer panic of cowardly Americans is something that is more important for us to confront than those 50 church members in Florida.
I took a lot of their kissy poo stuff things done or said to protect medical missionaries in areas with Moslems present.
Christians, hear from the Word of God:
2 Chronicles 20:15 (New King James Version)
15 And he said, Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the LORD to you: Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but Gods.
I love this. A 50 person church gets this much airtime? This is really amazing. These folks should give up “churching” and go into “marketing.”
Never heard that any Christians ever called The Jewish or Christian God allah, interesting..
Of course there is only one God, but the muslim god does not have the same nature, never knew any Christians ever called him allah, the muslim allah is not the same as the Christian allah then..how’s that?
lets face it, the only reason they are 'with' us today, is for us to do some heavy liftin in their fight against muzzies of another stripe...
even muzzies in our own uniform have already gone all jihad on their supposed brothers...
you would see about 50,000 headlines such as these:
Catholic-Islam Dialogue: Reciprocity the Key
Pope's New Approach to Christian-Muslim Relations
The Vatican Confronts Islam : Daniel Pipes
Pope: No Retreat From 'Reciprocity' Challenge to Islam
Address to the Ambassadors of Countries with a Muslim majority
Pope: "Respect and dialogue require reciprocity in all spheres"
Benedict was warned by the jihadis not to go to Turkey; he went.
He was threatened with assassination if he flew to Jordan, Israel, and the Palestinian territories: he flew without hesitation, spoke out clearly, and prayed with Christians and Jews.
Benedict was warned by organized jihadists that they would behead him if he baptized Magdi Allam: he baptized him at the Easter Vigil, the most solemn and public rite celebrated at St. Peter's in Rome, guaranteeing maximum coverage around the world.
He was warned not to challenge Muslim ambassadors about freedom of religion for Christians in their respective countries: he has done so every single time, courteously, firmly, and without equivocation.
And everything he does, he has good reason to assume, could be paid for in blood (Link).
If anyone has a right to be taken seriously, it is Pope Benedict.
That's my point.
“Your link also verifies that Pope Benedict XVI was quoting Byzantine emperor Manuel II Paleologus:
The passage originally appeared in the Dialogue Held With A Certain Persian, the Worthy Mouterizes, in Anakara of Galatia[citation needed] written in 1391 as an expression of the views of the Byzantine emperor Manuel II Paleologus, one of the last Christian rulers before the Fall of Constantinople to the Muslim Ottoman Empire ...
Pope Benedict XVI made this statement clearly identifying its author as Paleologus:
But naturally the emperor also knew the instructions, developed later and recorded in the Quran, concerning holy war. Without descending to details, such as the difference in treatment accorded to those who have the Book and the infidels, he turns to his interlocutor somewhat brusquely with the central question on the relationship between religion and violence in general, in these words:
Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached.
I also believe that Pope Benedict XVI chose this quote wisely.”
Sir Yes yes on both counts, that was my point.
I have no problem making a real stand against Islam. I have a problem with doing something that will change NOTHING and get people killed in the process.
I am not at all scared. Using wisdom is not cowardice. I however am concerned for innocents in Muslims countries. If this demonstration was helpful in anyway you would be seeing a different response. It is however inflammatory and does nothing to actually stop Islam. It does however give them a platform, sympathy, and a cause.
