In short, Obama seems aware that a particular cadre of influential white liberals has traditionally accorded him deference not warranted by actual achievement, but rather by his projection of a progressive persona, as crudely outlined by a Biden or Reid—and that this by now is a normal course of events rather than an aberrant experience: Hence his anger that all that has at last begun to end.

It is hard to think that an Elena Kagan, Dean of Harvard Law School, would have gushed over the rather undistinguished legal record of Barack Obama, had he been either a well published, but obese white Harvard Law graduate, or a conservative African-American antipode to the Biden-Reid stereotype, perhaps in the Clarence Thomas mould. After all, it was not just Obama’s appearance or skin color or cadences that so impressed Biden and Reid and won over liberal Americans, but his politics as well that earned him an exemption not accorded even to an equally professional appearing Colin Powell or Condoleeza Rice.

I read about this the other day on an article linked at Drudge. It's simply not TRUE. I'd never treat my dog that badly. :-) To even compare my Dog to Obama is an insult to my dog. :-)

IMO Obama is just frustrated that the Presidency is limited in its power. He would like to be more like Putin, Chavez or Than Shwe.

From the context I suspect the "he" is supposed to refer to Ahmadinejad or Putin, but the phrase "...oppose America and its interests whenever he can." could just as easily refer to The Won.

How about those of us who have worked very hard for what we've achieved, and are treated like ‘dogs’ by this administration? We are called ‘rich’ when we're not. We are told that we haven't been ‘paying our fair share’, although our taxes pay for benefits received by a huge percentage of the population that doesn't pay taxes. We put money away, saved, didn't live beyond our means, and delayed gratification while working for the future (both ours and our children's), but we are punished, not rewarded for these efforts, and those who didn't follow this path are being bailed out by this administration with our tax dollars. I could go on, and on, and on. It's not Obama that should be complaining about being treated like a dog.
