I believer there are Muslims who want freedom for themselves. That's good - it's a step.

But it's not enough.

Muslims don't really want freedom for women. They balk at giving citizens the right to pick their own religion. Freedom of speech? Maybe for themselves - but not for the person who might dare to draw an ‘offensive’ cartoon - or write a book about Mohammad that wasn't a gushy kiss-up.

Muslims seldom want freedom for all adults. Being free to make their own choices isn't part of who Muslims are. They're told when to pray and how to pray and where to face when praying. The men are told how to push their hair back - using these three fingers and not those... etc. etc. etc.

Islam was set up as a religious/political system. Two threads constantly reinforcing each other... very intertwined. There's not a lot of room for a democracy within their ways of thinking. Have you ever known a Muslim?

Yeah, I do, including an American imam. This space is in praise of an American hero, however, not for this conversation.

What joy to see the old bunch again (with the exception of Powell). Wish we could all go back in time! Anyone know if John Ashcroft attended?

Dang, I was within a mile or two of The Ballpark yesterday. I was at Texas Roadhouse at Great SW Parkway and I-20 when the game was on TV, but I’d been closer earlier. Even closer the day before, close enough to see the Cowboy Stadium Dome.

And what does whoever does his transcripts do? Take a look. LOL

Look at the cute wink he's doing here
