The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bushs Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005
You’re sure right about that!
Wonderful! Thanks so much, enjoyed every picture.

GWB spent his last two days in Kennebunkport riding his bike with his closest friends. The following pictures were taken on Saturday, August 25th:

Thank you for your hard work! LUV that man! :)
I appreciate your work, patty!!
‘..Even when he made questionable decisions that I had issues with, I never, ever gave up my unwavering support for him....’
Ditto, pattyvita! I, too, have always and will always support President Bush. He LOVES America I love him for this as well as for his integrity.
‘...Ive made a commitment to keep this thread alive...’
And, I am so very grateful to you, pattyvita, for your dedication and ongoing efforts to bring us info and, especially, pictures of our wonderful President Bush. You bring smiles during these trying times. Thank you!
Thanks for keeping the thread going. I really enjoy seeing the new photos, and keeping up with GWB and Laura.
The photos of Laura and Barbara Bush must have been taken during their interview for the RNC - they were shown tonight at the convention talking about their husbands’ time in office. W and President Bush 41 were also interviewed. It was very nice. Hope you were able to see it.
You’re all very welcome. It’s the least I can do to keep you informed on the latest comings and goings of our beloved President. Love the challenge of digging deep to find these awesome treasures!
You’re very welcome baseballmom. The pictures were indeed taken for the interview while the Bushes were on vacation in Kennebunkport a few weeks ago.
Unfortunately, I did not get to see the segment live because I was on my way home from work while it aired live near 5:00 PM West Coast time. But I did watch it the on Fox News site and it was beautifully done. What a great tribute to a wonderful, patriotic family.
It seems like it’s more because they always come out of the woodwork when there is an election.
The goal is to intimidate us into shutting up .. that won’t work on me.
But .. when they lose in a landslide in Nov .. Hmmmmm ..?? a funny thing happens .. they are nowhere to be found.
Is anyone on here anymore? It is strange for “the dose” to be so quiet for almost 2 weeks!
I don’t know who started this thread - but you can go to the #1 msg and find out.
I think it’s only updated when there’s more news of the Bush family; it’s sporadic.
Ohh.. I’d figured that there would be some activity around 9-11 anniversary! I don’t think the Bushs were even invited to speak at any of the events on that day; they usually are invited to speak at one or two of them, or at least one of the areas attacked, but not! Or if they were invited, maybe they decided to stay in Texas to commemorate the day!
Last Wednesday, September 12th, President Bush spoke at the ACG Los Angeles Annual Business Conference in Beverly Hills. Although no media was allowed inside, heres the transcript of GWs keynote speech courtesy of an attendee who tweeted his comments. The remarks are rather entertaining and funny.

Then on Friday, September 14th, President Bush traveled to West Point where he attended the funeral of the late Colonel Michael Endres who headed the military service program for GWBs institute. The President also took the time to mingle and talk to the student cadets.
