A Month in the life of George W. Bush (News and many Photos) September 2005
georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov/news ^ | September 5, 2010

Posted on 09/05/2010 5:29:14 PM PDT by Kaslin

The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bush’s Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005

My respect for the Bush's has only deepened with time. I truly love them. Their dignity has even grown since leaving office-how have they ever remained silent as they watch obama and the horrific people he has surrounded himself with destroy so much?

My respect has grown too, Republic. And YES to their dignity.

They are incredible people.

Two of the most incredible people I have ever seen. I continue to be astounded by their grace, their class, and their goodness.

We were SO blessed!!

Thx for heads-up. We don't get FNC here at home in Indy-keeping costs down and all that stuff. Would you be willing to review segment? Thx.

I actually saw that Insider interview a few weeks ago and the Today show interview this morning, they’re absolutely terrific. Thank you once again for posting both of them!

Posting some pics of the Bush women at the 2011 Malaria No More International Honors 5th Anniversary benefit in New York City last night where Laura was being honored for her work to combat malaria. They looked stunning and gorgeous as usual!

The woman next to Jenna is Maggie Betts. Maggie is a longtime family friend of the Bushes

They do look stunning! I think Laura has lost a little weight--I thought so from the pictures you showed us last week and again from these. She is always gorgeous--I just think she is thinner!

Thanks for your work, patty!

Fantastic! I wasn’t able to watch Laura live on Fox yesterday morning so I’m glad for the video. Thanks Kaslin for your generosity! :)

My pleasure. Laura seems to be aging gracefully every passing year and she just has this sense of style that’s elegant and classy.

My favorite is the one near the end where she has her arms crossed, and he’s leaning into her head, and kind of kissing her hair. SUCH a sweet picture!

He’s back! President Bush just returned from a week-long business trip in Asia. So on Saturday, he and Laura were at the Navy/SMU football game at SMU. He met with the Navy team beforehand and had the honor to do the coin toss to start the game.

This is the only video clip I could find of W and Laura walking out to the field the first 6 seconds. Unfortunately, the coin toss is not shown.

The Bushes at Navy/SMU game

GWB posing with two Navy servicemen and the Navy’s mascot!

W flips the coin!
