Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer and her Republican opponent Carly Fiorina will square off Wednesday night in the only debate scheduled so far in a race that polls show is a toss up between the two women.
The hour-long event at St. Mary’s College in Moraga begins at 7 p.m. It will be televised on CBS affiliates up and down the state, including on KTTV in Los Angeles. The debate is being sponsored by the San Francisco Chronicle and KQED public radio and will be streamed live on both sponsors’ web sites. C-Span is also televising the forum.

Carly just said she supports marriage between a man and a woman, but does support civil unions.
Now talking about how it’s inappropriate for a judge to oveturn voters’ decision.
Fiorina: “Every dollar I earned at HP was voted on by shareholders.” PRECISELY!! It is nobody’s busines what Carly earned as CEO other than HP’s shareholders and/or board of directors. It’s just a concept that Boxer and her crew can’t grasp.
“This isn’t a debate, it’s a attack piece. I haven’t heard one tough question for Boxer yet?”
Well look at who the questioners are - liberals from NPR, the Chronicle and a spanish language newspaper.

So Boxer is not only getting softballs but she has now violated the moderator supposed ban on veering off subject to follow up on a previous question.
I’ve long believed, despite her Ivy League degree, that she is the dumbest of the Senators. Perhaps it is just that she is a degree, and with a big chip on her shoulder, she just seems unreal, like a zombie or creation of somebody else.
This debate is awful and boring.

The Republicans have a reputation for being politically naive. Yeah, how about that softball that gave Boxer a chance to explain away her “call me Senator”

I'm still wishing Cornyn and the NRSC would have thrown their support to Larry Elder when he asked for it. He would have destroyed Boxer.
