U.S. President Barack Obama on Wednesday described the fatal shooting of four Israelis in the West Bank as a senseless slaughter that will not stop the U.S. from seeking peace in the Middle East.
Obama spoke alongside Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after the two met privately at the White House on Wednesday.
"I did want to specifically take some time out to speak to the people of Israel and to the region about the senseless slaughter that took place near Hebron yesterday," Obama said.
"There are going to be extremists and rejectionists who, rather than seeking peace, are going to be seeking destruction, and the tragedy that we saw yesterday, where people were gunned down on the street by terrorists who are purposely trying to undermine these talks, is an example of what we're up against," Obama continued.
Obama expressed condolences from the American people to the families of the terror victims, and said that the U.S. is unwavering in its support of Israel's security.
"The United States is going to be unwavering in its support of Israel's security, and we are going to push back against these kinds of terrorist activities," said the president.
Obama also sent a message to Hamas, which claimed responsibility for the attack.
"This is not going to stop us from not only ensuring a secure Israel, but also securing a longer-lasting peace in which people throughout the region can take a different course," said Obama.

The Obama Administration’s taxpayer-funded Islamic defense program has been quite busy this week, filing several discrimination lawsuits on behalf of Muslims in different parts of the country and holding Justice Department meetings to discuss prosecuting “anti-Muslim hate speech.”

Obama is the root cause of the senseless slaughter.
In #84 where he’s waving *bye, bye* to his bestest friend, his eyes are evil. I noticed the same look at his big speech the other day. Maybe MO is teaching him how to scowl.
Obama, the violence isn’t senseless. It has a purpose and a motive. It won’t stop the piece talks, because it’s in honor of the piece talks. The more you, Bibi and Abas talk piece, the more people will be killed, and the more determined you’ll be to continue your damned bloody piece talks. We had a long period of quiet, and now it’s ended, not senselessly, but intentionally. I don’t recall anyone calling for the piece talks to continue regardless of Operation Cast Lead. But that’s because Arab blood was being spilled for a change, and Arab blood counts for something. Piece talks stop whenever Jooos retaliate. But when Jooos are getting it in the neck, we always hear how “senseless” it is, and how it “won’t derail” the piece talks.
It’s the same tired script we’ve heard since 1993. I rip that script up and throw it at the ground at your feet and piss on it. The violence isn’t what’s senseless. The piece talks are senseless, because 3,000 Arabs publicly celebrated the violence perpetrated quite sensibly by these three monsters. Now it’s 11:38 here in Israel, and I have to reassure my frightened son that it isn’t about to happen to us right now, so he’ll go to sleep and be able to function in school. But just so you know, I’ve got your f@#$#ing number, Obama. At least find a way to tell the same old lie a new way.
