On Sunday's episode of CNN's 'Reliable Sources,' Bill Press, Jane Hall and I joined host Howard Kurtz to debate and discuss Glenn Beck's "Restoring Honor" rally.
Press -- whom I like personally (and who has previously appeared on my podcast), made what were (in my estimation) the most controversial comments of the day.
First, he argued it was inappropriate for Glenn Beck to invoke religion at the Lincoln Memorial, saying, "I thought I was at a camp meeting -- an old fashioned, religious camp meeting; I don't think that's appropriate on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial."
(Of course, the irony is that Lincoln frequently referenced The Almighty -- and Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was, of course, was a man of God.)
Next, Kurtz challenged Press' notion that allowing Beck to speak at The Lincoln Memorial was "like granting al Qaeda permission to hold a rally on September 11 - at Ground Zero."

In my opinion, during the Clinton years, three men; Paul Begala, James Carville and Bill Press were extremely sad that Monica had been under the desk and not them.
I think the most important thing we need to do to start to return our Country to its roots is find a way to negate the leftist mantra that our founding fathers and all of the great people before us were either Atheists or Deists.
These lies they are perpetrating on the public is the old communist tactic of saying something long enough, and loud enough, that it becomes truth by default.
We have to stop them from doing this.
It took one of the wicked and soul damned Left, to ask this question.
>>Does God Belong at The Lincoln Memorial?
Lincoln would certainly have thought so.
Is he trying to stir a religious movement of his own beliefs, or of someone else's beliefs?
Well, you just go ahead and worry about it, because I'm certainly not.
Prayers are just fine if invoked by liberals or muslims (as
the recent Ramadan dinner hosted by B. Hussein Obama with 100% religious overtones).
Christian prayers are taboo.
I knew CNN panties would get all in a bunch when I heard speakers mention the never-to-be-spoken J word : Jesus !
Sean Bean played Zeus in “Percy Jackson.” Cuuuu-tieee!
If God created this world, then he does indeed belong everywhere.
Oh, and Bill Press can s*** my b***s.
“The sad fact is that we have been silenced ABOUT OUR FAITH and yesterday was a cry to start speaking out again.”
A cry. Reminds me of the prayer vigil at City Hall in my suburban town. All sorts of folks stood on a chilly night singing hymns and praying on the city property, with the Mayor offering a prayer as well. As the candles were passed around and lit I thought what a miracle.
It would have been a REAL miracle if that hope and faith and love had carried on. But I guess that is the way it always is. Thankfully I believe in a patient and forgiving God. However, He is also a Just God.
Have these people ever read Lincoln’s Second Inaugural?
Remember the press fussing over JFK’s Catholicism, putting the story out there that the Pope would be the controller of the U.S. from Rome?
Any peep out of them about what _resident Soetoro has pulled?
If this is the fight the libs want to have so be it. I will bet you dollar to donut we WIN!!! Open/Shut case. They are treading bigtime!
” the most controversial comments of the day.”
The author doesn’t seem to know the difference between “contraversial” and “idiotic”.
Well God is on the George Washington monument, so yes.
“Prayers are just fine if invoked by liberals or muslims “
Yes, im afraid so.
God belongs everywhere !!
