Please post your observations!
They were putting up scaffolding down the Mall and hanging big speakers and spots for Jumbotrons.
We took a Moonlight bus tour last night, almost everyone we spoke to was in town for the Rally. One couple, from Texas, said that almost their whole plane was bound for the rally!
Our tour guide was conservative (surprise!) and got cheers and applause for his comments.
A guard at the rally site (last night) said that if you want to be down front, you should probably plan to be there around 5 AM. We don't intend to be there that early, our transpportation (the Metro), doesn't start running until 7 on Saturdays.
Will post some pictures tonight, headed to Mount Vernon this AM and the National Archives after.
Prayers up for Glenn and all the patriots attending.
My family and I will be making the trek down tomorrow.
Can you give any info on which streets are blocked off?
Appreciate it! ‘Pod.
Still on the bus from San Antonio, TX. We get in sometime early evening. There are 32 on the bus from all over the state.
this thread is so great for those of us who cannot attend....I hope it can remain available throughout the next 2 days...
ABC News has the crowd at 1,000 /s...NBC says 900
Thanks for keeping us in the loop! I can’t wait to hear more...
I’m driving up to No. Va. this afternoon. Will be going with my sister and BIL. I MUST remember to bring tissues. I have a feeling I’m going to need them. I cry just listening to “America The Beautiful” - so a whole day will mean needing lots of tissues!
Frogmom, pics & regular updates would be WONDERFUL! They will be gratefully appreciated.
Thanks FrogMom. Looking forward to all the updates. I’m with you all in spirit!
Fox has it at from 100,000 to 200,000,I say more....Oh well the MSN doesn’t want to give much credit to the people that really care for this country..
Wish I could be there, but I can’t for money and health reasons..
I work in DC (no, I am not a federal employee), and although I will not be attending the rally, I wish all of you the best.
I can give those of you not familiar with the mall a few pointers.
1. When using the Metro, make sure you have enough on your farecard, or Smarttrip card to get you back and forth. Do this before you board the train bound for the location.
2. Make sure you have your own water, snacks, and yes, TP. There will be vendors probably, but the lines will be long. Porta Potties, ‘nuff said.
3. Bring a small towell, large bandanna. Make sure you have sunglasses, hats, etc. If you are not familiar with DC, get a map. If you need to exit at a place other than where you came in to DC, mark that.
If anyone has questions, please feel free to ask. I will check back as often as I can.
Regards,
AR

How do they know until everyone gets to the rally?
Of course, if the media bothers to report on the rally at all, you know the attendance numbers will be reported as lower.
Huffington Post has the crowd at, “Nearly a dozen”
“I cry just listening to America The Beautiful “
I cry just reading your post. I wish I could be there with you all!
Me, too.....I want to be there in body not just spirit!
I wish I could be there also.
I’m attending a local one in my town, I hope towns all across America are doing the same!
Have fun and make a good impression! Bring cameras or take pictures with cell phones if any Leftist or racist plant infiltrate.
They’ll be talking about the swell group surrounding ole big mouth....Al Sharpton and his bunch.
